
M1 – Engineering Lead - Credit
Objective of the Role
Lead and coordinate a team within the Credit Squad, managing a group of around six frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers. This role is a 50/50 split between technical stuff (hands-on coding, cloud architecture solutioning, code reviews, technical conversations with peers and developers of their team) and people management, ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable technical projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability while also excelling in leadership, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and aligning technical deliverables with business goals while ensuring quality standards and technical excellence.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support autonomous development teams for high performance and alignment with business goals.
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, retros).
- Collaborate with architects and technical leaders to support scalable reference architectures.
- Ensure compliance with SLA, SLO, and SLI, managing risks, dependencies, and impediments.
- Conduct and guide code reviews.
- Oversee QA processes, ensuring usability, accessibility, and system reliability.
- Partner with SRE teams to ensure infrastructure capacity, resilience, and reliability.
- Promote secure, scalable, and maintainable development practices while driving technical excellence.
- Encourage innovation and the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Promote an autonomous work culture by encourage self-management.
- Excellent skills to create road maps and execution plans.
- Excellent skills to manage dependencies, risks and technical debt.
- Provide feedback to the persons of their team thought effective 1.1.
- Measure the performance of their team.
- Coach the members of the team, evaluate their ability to coach and mentor team members, helping them to develop both technical and professional skills.

Required Knowledge and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in leadership and mentoring roles.
- Expertise in modern technologies like Java, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Desirable: experience with GoLang and React (Next.js) or React Native.
- Strong experience in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerized development.
- Experience in cloud development (AWS & Serverless Computing), including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, and SAM.
- Knowledge of secure development practices, including SAST, DAST, and MAST.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud, Terraform, Docker).
- Strong adaptability to fast-paced environments and excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
