The Head of Design is the visionary force behind Spin’s design strategy, leading a high-impact, customer-first organization that drives business growth and product excellence. This role defines and executes the strategic vision for design across Spin (B2B, B2C, Credit), ensuring that every product delivers exceptional value and seamless, intuitive experiences.
Balancing product innovation, research-driven insights, operational efficiency, and team development, the Head of Design transforms design into a powerful business enabler—elevating Spin’s impact and making users fall in love with what we build.
As our Head of Design B2C, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our products.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Product & Experience Strategy – Define and execute a strategic UX vision aligned with business goals, ensuring innovation and cohesion across all channels.
- UX Research & Customer Insights – Build and scale research capabilities, leveraging insights to drive customer-centric product decisions.
- Operational Efficiency & Execution – Optimize design workflows, manage resources, and maintain high execution standards, including oversight of the Design System.
- Design Leadership & Team Development – Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing design team, fostering growth, collaboration, and innovation.
Experience and Key Skills
- 12+ years of experience as an individual contributor in digital design roles (Product Designer, UX Researcher, UX Writer, etc.).
- 7+ years leading and scaling design and research teams, including people management and organizational strategy.
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles, managing leaders of leaders and defining high-impact design strategies.
- 3+ years in design operations leadership, optimizing workflows, processes, and team efficiency.
Additional Skills required:
- Research & Customer Insights – Extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research, usability testing, and insight-driven strategy to ensure user-centered solutions.
- Customer-Centered & Strategic Design Thinking – Proven track record in applying human-centered methodologies and translating business goals into scalable, impactful design strategies.
- Portfolio & Project Management – Strong ability to define, prioritize, and execute design initiatives efficiently, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Leadership & Organizational Development – Expertise in mentoring teams,
fostering cross-functional collaboration, and establishing career paths to drive growth and innovation.
- Operational & Process Optimization – Skilled in workflow optimization, design systems, and Agile/Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and execution at scale.
