Objective of the Role

Support the analysis and interpretation of data to drive business decision-making and improve organizational performance. Responsibilities typically include assisting in data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of analytical solutions. The aim is to gain experience in applying analytics techniques, understanding business processes, and delivering actionable insights that enable informed decision-making across various functional areas within the organization. Additionally, collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in projects, and continuously enhance BA skills and knowledge. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders, including users, clients, and management, to understand business needs and objectives.
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decision-making. This may involve querying databases, generating reports, and performing simple statistical analyses.
  • Document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications in clear and concise formats, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Assist in documenting and mapping current and future business processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to elicit requirements, clarify business needs, and gather feedback on proposed solutions.
  • Assist in evaluating potential solutions or system enhancements to meet business requirements, including conducting research, gathering data, and preparing recommendations.
  • Assist in test case preparation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect tracking to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Provide support to project managers and senior business analysts in project planning, coordination, and execution, including tracking milestones, managing documentation, and facilitating meetings.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business analysis and related fields. Actively seek opportunities for learning and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, methodologies, and business domains, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Promote an autonomous work culture by encouraging self-management, accountability, and proactive problem-solving among team members.
  • Serve as a Spin Culture Ambassador to foster and maintain a positive, inclusive, and dynamic work environment that aligns with the company's values and culture.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience, which may include internships, co-op programs, or entry-level positions in business analysis, project management, or related fields.
  • Exposure to business analysis concepts, methodologies, and techniques through coursework, projects, or practical experience is beneficial.
  • Understanding of basic business analysis concepts, methodologies, and techniques, such as requirement elicitation, stakeholder analysis, and business process modeling.
  • Familiarity with the industry, including key terminology, business processes, and industry trends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with stakeholders, documenting requirements, and presenting findings.
  • Basic analytical skills for analyzing data, identifying patterns, and deriving insights that inform business decision-making.
  • Ability to document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications in clear and concise formats, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Ability to identify and analyze business problems, propose potential solutions, and evaluate their feasibility and impact.
  • Basic understanding of technology concepts and terminology, including software development lifecycle (SDLC), databases, and system architecture.
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Visio, or PowerPoint, as well as collaboration tools like Jira or Confluence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, interact with cross-functional teams, and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
