Position Overview
The Test Automation Engineer Intern will work with product managers to understand the customer needs, design the functionalities, and translate requirements to test plans. Evaluate risks in the system, build and optimize automation frameworks to guard the robustness, scalability and security of the micro-services that power our SaaS platform. Also, will develop tools that make our development, testing, deployment, and monitoring systems efficient. Have the full power of AWS at your disposal while you focus on building and testing Serverless solutions (either brand new or assisting in migrating services to Serverless).
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to complete smaller stories independently, more complex ones with guidance from senior members of the team (API tests, UI tests)
- Curious and has high potential for learning and growing as an engineer
- Follow and learn the process of the team and keep the communication flow healthy
- Gain domain expertise by mastering the software used by the team
- Manual testing, in case if the team has manual tests, or the process involves 4 eye review/validation
- Execute, extend, existing test plans
- Eager to learn how to drive the release process later on
Required Experience/Skills
- Self-driven mindset
- Fluent English
- Strong analytical skills
- University-level coursework or comparable boot camp qualification
- QA mindset
- Basic experiences with Typescript, Selenium or any relevant automation framework
- Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods
