Position Overview:

Are you a technical expert with a passion for driving revenue growth? As a Solutions Sales Director at Diligent, you will be a linchpin in our sales strategy, harnessing your deep knowledge of our products to forge and sustain relationships with both existing and new clients. You will adeptly navigate customer needs, tailoring innovative solutions and addressing complex challenges to secure customer commitment.

In this pivotal role, you will manage both inbound and outbound sales efforts, lead initial prospect and customer meetings, and oversee pipeline management and accurate forecasting through to deal completion. As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate closely with the Accounts team, providing technical expertise during co-selling opportunities. Your role also involves coaching and mentoring Sales colleagues to deepen their understanding of Diligent’s products and enhance their professional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Diligent’s products and solutions, and leverage this knowledge to address complex customer issues with sound judgment and analytical thinking.
  • Solution Selling: Adopt a consultative sales approach, understanding customer needs and developing solutions through the Diligent One Platform lens.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of prospect satisfaction through proactive outreach, insightful follow-ups, and by driving new opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the Sales team to create strategic account plans, proposals, presentations, and other sales materials that highlight the technical capabilities and advantages of our product solutions.
  • Coaching and Development: Mentor and support the Sales team by enhancing their technical knowledge, understanding of business value, and professional skills through curated learning forums.
  • Sales Tools: Utilize sales tools to prospect new leads, schedule meetings, increase win rates, and generate bookings effectively.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate CRM records, forecast, and report on projected bookings and closed deals regularly.
  • Market Insights: Use external insights of the competitor landscape and industry direction to inform the creation of strategic account plans.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Proven Success: Extensive track record of success in account management and achieving revenue targets within the technology or entities management industry.
  • Complex Sales Navigation: Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and large deal negotiations with strategic clients.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders across different organisational levels.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning, including developing expertise in internal products, industry trends, and the customer landscape.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Curiosity and Empathy: High level of curiosity and empathy to understand potential customer contexts, issues, and pain points through effective questioning and listening.
  • Drive and Adaptability: Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
