Position Overview

As a Staff Engineer, you will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of the Third-Party Manager (TPM) platform, delivering secure, scalable microservices and modern, high-performance front-end experiences. You will drive the migration from legacy monolithic systems to a modern React/Next.js/NestJS stack, guide the Azure-to-AWS migration, and spearhead AI-driven initiatives including LLM-based solutions, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and agentic AI workflows.

Your deep expertise in full-stack engineering, platform integrations (REST, OAuth, OpenID Connect), and scalable microservices will shape a future-ready TPM platform. You will also champion the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices, using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and Claude AI to improve speed, code quality, and developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Define and drive architecture and design for the TPM platform, ensuring security, scalability, reliability, and performance across front-end and back-end systems.

• Full-Stack Ownership: Lead development using React, Next.js, NestJS, PHP, and microservices architectures backed by MySQL and MSSQL.

• Cloud Expertise & Migration: Strategize and execute the Azure-to-AWS migration using AWS services (ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, EventBridge, SQS, IAM, CDK, etc.) with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Legacy Modernization: Analyze and migrate legacy systems into modern architectures with clear modernization roadmaps.

• AI & Innovation: Lead POCs and implementation of AI-driven capabilities including LLMs, RAG pipelines, autonomous/agentic workflows, and intelligent automation across TPM.

• AI-Assisted Development: Improve engineering velocity and quality using GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Claude AI, and related AI tooling for coding, refactoring, documentation, and test generation.

• Platform Integrations: Build secure and seamless integrations with Diligent One platforms using REST APIs and event-driven patterns.

• Collaboration & Communication: Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design specifications while facilitating discussions across engineering, product, and security.

• Hands-on Development & Mentorship: Contribute to hands-on coding, mentor engineers, and foster engineering excellence, innovation, and AI adoption.

What You Need to Succeed

• 10+ years of software development experience, with a proven record of leading architecture for large-scale platforms.

• Strong expertise in React, Next.js, NestJS, PHP, and scalable microservices architectures.

• Advanced database proficiency with MySQL and MSSQL, including schema design, tuning, and performance optimization.

• Experience planning and executing Azure-to-AWS cloud migrations, with deep knowledge of AWS services and IaC tools (AWS CDK/Terraform).

• Ability to work with legacy technologies and modernize them systematically.

• Strong understanding of security standards and protocols (JWT, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and secure system design aligned with OWASP principles.

• Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic AI systems, and vector retrieval frameworks.

• Experience using AI engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and Claude AI for accelerated coding, analysis, documentation, and testing.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to produce clear architectural diagrams and lead critical technical discussions.

• Proven ability to mentor engineers and promote continuous learning, innovation, and AI-assisted development practices.

• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, observability, and monitoring.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts (networking, IAM, containerization) is a strong plus.
