Position Overview:

Diligent is launching a SE Innovation Center within the Global SE Center of Excellence (CoE) to rapidly drive sales efficiency and internal AI transformation. We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on AI Automation Engineer to lead innovation and automation initiatives focused on the presales process.

This role will blend consulting rigor, process design, and technical execution — moving from business case to prototype to scaled implementation. You’ll serve as an internal change agent, building AI-powered tools and agentic workflows that streamline how SEs operate across our platform

Key Responsibilities

You will own projects across three major phases:

1. Consult & Prioritize

  • Identify operational pain points across SE workflows by collaborating with SEs, sales, enablement, and product teams
  • Build business cases with clear ROI, effort-impact analysis, and prioritization logic
  • Document current state processes and propose automation use cases across activities like RFPs, demo prep, sales discovery, and documentation

2. Prototype & Build

  • Rapidly develop agentic or AI-powered tools using technologies like GPT APIs, LangChain, open-source LLMs, Zapier, Make, Python, or cloud-native solutions
  • Pilot tools in the APAC SE team (our SE Innovation Centre) before global rollout
  • Design for usability, iterating based on SE feedback and integration complexity

3. Launch & Drive Adoption

  • Partner with Enablement and CoE leads to train, scale, and drive adoption
  • Define success metrics (e.g., hours saved, adoption rates, quality improvements) and continuously iterate
  • Maintain documentation, troubleshoot issues, and support internal onboarding of new tools

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ internal AI/automation tools successfully adopted by SEs to improve productivity or quality
  • Business cases and outcomes clearly articulated and tracked
  • High visibility and partnership across SE pillars, PMM, Enablement, and Platform BU
  • Seen as a force multiplier by the SE team — blending innovation with impact
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years in a technical role (SE, data, DevOps, scripting, systems) with recent hands-on work in GenAI solutions
  • Experience working as a sales engineer, technical consultant, or in an internal enablement/ops role is a strong plus
  • Comfort with GenAI tools and frameworks like GPT, LangChain, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face
  • Experience scripting or building lightweight apps using Python, JavaScript, or similar
  • Working knowledge of API integrations, cloud AI services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and MLOps/LLMOps preferred
  • Strong ability to translate business processes into technical opportunities
  • Proven track record of designing efficient workflows and automations that stick
  • Can speak both “engineer” and “sales” — able to simplify technical solutions for business users
  • Proactive and curious — you tinker, test, and iterate
  • Strong communicator who can influence and educate across functions
  • Committed to responsible AI, privacy, and secure solution design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience deploying AI/ML or agentic tools inside a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Familiarity with CRM (e.g., Salesforce), presales tools (e.g., Gong, Clari), or internal platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to own full lifecycle of internal-facing tool development — from idea to impact

Pay Range

$114,000 - $142,000 CAD
