Position Overview

Diligent is seeking a forward-thinking Product Design Manager to lead experience strategy across our product suite. This role is ideal for someone passionate about shaping intuitive, data-informed user experiences and mentoring high-performing design teams. You’ll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to drive innovation, quality, and timely delivery - while integrating emerging technologies like AI to elevate our design practice.

We’re looking for a design leader who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and is excited to make a meaningful impact on the future of governance, risk, and compliance software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the experience strategy for one or more of Diligent's products, incorporating AI-driven insights and personalization where appropriate
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to ensure AI-enhanced features are intuitive, ethical, and user-centric
  • Lead the design and prototyping of intelligent interfaces, including conversational UI, predictive workflows, and adaptive layouts
  • Champion a rigorous design process that includes user research, data analysis, and iterative testing—leveraging AI tools for faster synthesis and ideation
  • Conduct and oversee research activities (discovery, exploratory, validation), using AI-assisted methods such as sentiment analysis, behavioral clustering, and automated usability testing
  • Communicate design decisions clearly to stakeholders, balancing business objectives, user needs, and emerging tech capabilities
  • Own and maintain design artifacts, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, including experimentation with generative design tools and AI-enhanced prototyping platforms
  • Partner with your team to see products through release and post-launch optimization, including AI-powered analytics to inform future iterations
  • Manage and mentor a product design squad, supporting career growth and encouraging exploration of AI in design workflows

Required Experience & Skills

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Degree in Design, Technology, Psychology, HCI, or equivalent work experience
  • Deep expertise in User Experience Design, with core strengths in Interaction Design, UI Design, or Design Research
  • Proven experience designing complex SaaS products for the B2B market in a distributed Agile environment
  • Demonstrated success leading the design of products from inception to release and beyond, including AI-integrated features
  • Proficiency with current design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD), plus familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms like Uizard, Galileo, or Runway
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and technical feasibility
  • Experience designing for mobile and web-based applications, with an understanding of responsive and adaptive desi
  • A portfolio showcasing your design process, leadership impact, and examples of AI-informed design thinking—online or PDF required for consideration
