Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Director, Governance Operations focused on product and growth initiatives across our entire Governance product portfolio that accelerate customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.  Sitting at the intersection of strategy, product, marketing, sales, and customer success, this role requires a systems thinker who can distill complex product capabilities into market-winning strategies, partner with business leaders to identify areas of business weakness and opportunities, deliver with operational precision, connect the dots between cross-functional teams. 

Reporting directly to the General Manager of the Governance business, this role will lead the strategy and operations initiatives for our Governance solutions. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and our other business units, to identify key growth levers, optimize customer journeys, and scale successful client engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision:  

  • Support the GM and Product Leaders in developing comprehensive go-to-market and market entry strategies across our entire software portfolio and all market segments (SMB, mid-market, enterprise), industries and geographies. Partner with cross-functional teams to execute strategies & drive impact
  • Develop comprehensive business cases for major strategic initiatives and capital investments, including market opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and risk evaluation to support executive decision-making
  • Identify and evaluate corporate development, strategic partnership, and business development opportunities aligned with growth objectives, partnering with our corporate development team on deal evaluation and integration planning
  • Conduct ongoing competitive benchmarking and industry trend analysis to identify emerging market opportunities, competitive threats, and strategic positioning gaps that inform product roadmap and go-to-market decisions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to lead annual and quarterly strategic planning processes, including market assessment, competitive positioning analysis, and strategic priority setting across the Governance business unit
  • Drive AI-first initiatives by identifying opportunities to integrate AI into product and GTM strategy to deliver superior market insights and accelerated decision-making 

Go-to-Market Excellence:

  • Contribute to P&L planning and forecasting processes, providing market-driven insights to support revenue targets and investment decisions
  • Partner cross-functionally on pricing strategy optimization and revenue model innovation initiatives to maximize market penetration while driving sustainable growth
  • Develop and present ROI analysis for strategic initiatives, growth investments, and market expansion opportunities to ensure efficient capital allocation

Growth & Product Adoption:

  • Identify, develop and execute comprehensive revenue growth strategies that span the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition to expansion  
  • Design and implement growth experiments, measuring impact and iterating based on performance data
  • Drive product adoption initiatives across existing customer base to increase revenue per customer
  • Design and optimize customer journey experiences to improve conversion and expansion metrics
  • Lead pricing strategy and packaging decisions to maximize market penetration and revenue growth
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to develop scalable product adoption playbooks for client expansion and retention  

Business Unit Leadership & Development:

  • Serve as a member of our Governance Leadership team and help us build a high-performing team by overseeing the team in establishing team goals, KPIs, and performance standards aligned with business objectives
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making, rapid experimentation, and continuous learning
  • Develop team capabilities in competitive analysis, customer research, and growth marketing
  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI for competitive advantage, demonstrates comfort with emerging AI technologies, and lead by example in adopting AI tools to enhance team productivity and strategic decision-making   

Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience developing and executing product strategies, including a proven track record of crafting go-to-market (GTM) strategies and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and compelling way
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment and balance multiple priorities
  • Strong creative, problem solving, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to drive results on-time, with high quality
  • Experience integrating AI tools into marketing workflows and strategic planning processes
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams
  • Previous experience with our target personas (general council, corporate secretary, legal ops, CFO and internal audit) and/or experience in the governance or entity management industries strongly preferred 

U.S pay range

$173,000 - $250,000 USD
