Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Group Product Manager (GPM) to lead the evolution of Diligent’s Platform Reporting & Data products, shaping the future of how our clients and internal business units (BUs) consume insights. This role will be central to building a unified, AI-powered reporting platform that serves multiple personas—executives, board members, compliance officers, risk managers—while enabling product teams across BUs to accelerate innovation through standardized data, embedded dashboards, and AI-driven agents.
As a Group Product Manager, you will:
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Diligent’s reporting and data platform.
- Lead a small team of PMs, coaching them to deliver impactful product outcomes.
- Partner with engineering, design, and data science to deliver scalable, cost-efficient, and intuitive reporting experiences.
- Act as a key interface with BU product teams to enable adoption, cross-sell, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and drive the multi-year vision for platform reporting, visualization, and data services—aligning with company objectives for Growth, Depth, and Retention (GDR).
- Champion a unified reporting hub that integrates both BI dashboards and AI-powered insights.
- Develop and own success metrics that measure adoption, cost efficiency, and customer impact.
Product Development & Execution
- Build in-app reporting experiences and embedded agents to provide real-time insights within user workflows.
- Guide design of persona-driven UX: intuitive search, categorization, and role-based access across dashboards, reports, and AI narratives.
- Partner with engineering on data platform architecture (data mesh, semantic layer, APIs, governance, cost efficiency).
- Oversee the migration strategy for legacy reporting tools into a unified platform, minimizing user disruption.
AI & Data Innovation
- Drive adoption of AI-native features (natural language queries, anomaly detection, narrative storytelling, copilots/agents).
- Partner with AI/ML teams to ensure trust, explainability, compliance, and domain-specific relevance in insights.
- Explore external BI/AI ecosystem (Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Salesforce Copilot, Databricks, etc.) to benchmark and shape competitive differentiation.
Stakeholder & Cross-BU Engagement
- Collaborate with BU product managers (Risk, Compliance, Governance, Audit, Boards) to deliver cross-product insights and adoption.
- Ensure governed but flexible data access, balancing client configurability with regulatory and security requirements.
- Evangelize reporting capabilities internally and externally, influencing senior stakeholders and customers.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of 2–3 PMs, fostering a culture of discovery, data-driven decision making, and delivery excellence.
- Upskill the team in AI, analytics, and platform thinking.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 8–12 years of Product Management experience, with at least 3–4 years leading teams or acting as a Group/Principal PM.
- Proven success in platform product management—especially reporting, analytics, or data platforms in a SaaS environment.
- Strong expertise in AI/ML-powered reporting or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, ThoughtSpot, Looker).
- Experience with data architecture concepts: data mesh, semantic models, governance, APIs.
- Track record of building SaaS products at scale, with measurable business outcomes (adoption, retention, cost efficiency).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to align technical and executive audiences.
Preferred
- Domain knowledge in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) markets.
- Exposure to financial reporting, risk/audit analytics, or regulatory compliance workflows.
- Experience delivering embedded analytics or AI copilots inside enterprise applications.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to shape the core platform strategy of a global SaaS leader.
- Work at the intersection of AI, data, and governance technology, influencing the future of GRC.
- A collaborative, mission-driven culture with opportunities for career growth.
