Position Overview

The Director, Product Operations will drive operational excellence, efficiency, and predictable execution across Diligent’s product organization. This role is responsible for establishing strong operating rhythms, optimizing workflows, standardizing best practices, and enabling data-driven decision-making across Product Management, Delivery Management, and Content functions.

This leader will ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration, high-quality and timely product delivery, strong governance over strategic investments, and the evolution of content operations into an AI-first capability. The Product Operations, Delivery Management, and Content teams will report directly into this role.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Process Optimization

  • Establish and drive the operating cadence and management reporting framework for product development.

  • Define, standardize, and enforce best practices and operating processes across Product Management, Delivery Management, and Content.

  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline product, delivery, and content workflows to improve efficiency and execution predictability.

  • Own end-to-end product delivery management, ensuring high-quality and on-time releases, with clear reporting to key stakeholders.

  • Provide governance and oversight for the X99 Board investment, including:

    • Tracking investment allocation and outcomes

    • Ensuring transparency and impact measurement

  • Identify and mitigate risks in the product delivery process and implement appropriate contingency plans.

  • Oversee execution of critical strategic programs, including:

    • Engineering insourcing and scale-up

    • AWS and customer migration initiatives

  • Own and continuously optimize the tools, platforms, and technologies used across the product organization.


Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Champion and embed a data-driven culture across the product organization.

  • In close collaboration with the Business Analytics team:

    • Establish a single source of truth for product and delivery data across the company.

    • Build and maintain robust systems for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing product performance, delivery health, and user behavior metrics.

  • Drive the development of advanced analytics and predictive models to anticipate market trends, delivery risks, and user needs.


AI-First Content Operations

  • Lead the transformation of the technical authoring function into an AI-driven content creation and delivery capability.

  • Introduce AI-assisted documentation workflows, unified content standards, and streamlined human-in-the-loop review processes.

  • Implement modern tooling, automation pipelines, and a consistent content architecture to ensure quality, scalability, and cross-product alignment.

  • Establish clear metrics for content quality, usage, and automation impact, enabling authors to focus on AI supervision, curation, and continuous optimization.


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Standardize communication and operating mechanisms between Product, UX, Engineering, and the broader organization.

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality communication on:

    • Product roadmap plans

    • Delivery progress

    • Outcomes and impact of shipped initiatives

  • Lead initiatives to scale product knowledge and improve product and delivery transparency across the company.

  • Translate complex data, delivery insights, and performance metrics into clear, actionable recommendations for executive and non-technical stakeholders.


Performance Measurement, Governance & Analytics

  • Build and operate systems to measure and report on:

    • Product quality

    • Engineering operational performance

    • Delivery health

    • DevOps effectiveness

  • Define and track product and delivery KPIs in partnership with Engineering and Product leadership.

  • Implement a governance framework to manage, track, and report on allocation and impact of X99 Board investment spend.


What This Role Does Not Own (Out of Scope)

  • Engineering Operations Management, including:

    • Procurement

    • Vendor management

    • Licensing and commercial tooling ownership

  • Competitive and Market Intelligence, including:

    • Competitive research

    • Market trend analysis to inform product strategy

  • GTM Execution and Product Launch Management, including:

    • Defining launch calendars

    • Program-managing cross-functional launch execution

    • Consolidation of features into tiered release plans and execution governance

This role is a critical force-multiplier for Diligent’s product organization — enabling scale, predictability, execution excellence, and data-driven leadership across Product, Engineering, and Content while modernizing our operating model and delivery engine.
