Position Overview
The Solutions Sales Executive II is a strong solution specialist with deep working knowledge of Diligent’s Risk & Audit products. This role supports revenue growth by understanding customer needs, positioning the right solutions, and helping customers address specific and sometimes complex Risk & Audit challenges.
This is an individual contributor role focused on engaging with customers, supporting opportunities, and partnering closely with Account Executives throughout the customer journey. As a trusted solution partner, the Solutions Sales Executive II provides product and domain expertise during co-selling and solution discussions, helping to influence customer decisions. The role also includes contributing to shared learning by exchanging knowledge and best practices with peers across the sales organisation.
This position suits a commercially aware, collaborative professional who enjoys working in a solution-led sales environment, influencing outcomes through expertise, and consistently delivering results while living Diligent’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates strong technical and domain knowledge of Diligent’s Risk & Audit products and solutions.
- Applies sound judgment, product expertise, and analytical thinking to recommend solutions that address customer challenges, including more complex use cases with appropriate support.
- Uses a solution-selling approach to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions aligned to the Diligent One Platform.
- Maintains high levels of prospect engagement and satisfaction through proactive outreach, relevant insights, and consistent follow-up to support opportunity creation and progression.
- Partners with the Sales team on account planning, proposals, presentations, and other sales materials that clearly articulate solution value and technical capabilities.
- Contributes to the development of the Sales team by sharing product knowledge, insights, and best practices through informal coaching and collaboration.
- Effectively utilises sales tools to prospect new leads, support pipeline generation, schedule meetings, improve win rates, and contribute to bookings.
- Maintains accurate CRM records, forecasts, and regular reporting on pipeline and closed deals.
- Develops an understanding of the competitive landscape, customer priorities, and industry trends to inform opportunity and account strategy.
Required Experience / Skills
- Experience in the Risk & Audit domain is essential. This may include experience selling Risk & Audit solutions or prior experience as a Risk & Audit professional without a formal sales background.
- Experience supporting or contributing to complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder deals; experience leading large, strategic negotiations is a plus but not required.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across different levels of an organisation.
- A continuous learning mindset with interest in developing deeper product, industry, and customer knowledge.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence through insight and credibility.
- High curiosity and empathy, with strong questioning and listening skills to understand customer context and challenges.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
