Advisory & Consulting Manager
Position Overview:
An Advisory & Consulting Manager is the onboarding and deployment lead who ensures a smooth setup, proper configuration, and early success with Diligent solutions for new and expanding customers. They coordinate closely with Customer Success Managers and Client Success Advisors, engaging the right resources to align solution capabilities with customer objectives and drive value realization. They plan and deliver change‑management activities and role‑based training to accelerate adoption and outcomes. When an engagement involves client data, they act as or partner with the designated Data Custodian to manage secure access, transfer, processing, and timely erasure under formal data‑consent procedures. Overall, they lead consulting engagements end‑to‑end—from scoping and solutioning through delivery—steering cross‑functional execution to achieve measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor, applying deep GRC domain expertise to help customers realize their risk and compliance vision, goals, and objectives while setting and managing expectations.
- Provide project leadership by proactively identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks; mobilizing the right resources; and managing scope, timelines, budgets, and communications to minimize delays and overruns.
- Own implementation oversight end-to-end: capture high-quality requirements, produce design and walkthrough documentation with workflow diagrams, architect the solution, enable customer adoption, and balance customer expectations with team well-being.
- Drive pre‑sales enablement with Sales and Solution Consultants, including solution development, product demos, RFP responses, scoping and effort/price estimates, and contracting.
- Serve as a product partnership conduit, translating customer needs into product insights, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements and new features.
- Champion adoption, expansion, and quality by removing barriers with Client Partners, exposing customers to broader Diligent solutions, maintaining quality and service standards, resolving issues, and pursuing ongoing professional development.
Required Experience/Skills
- GRC domain expertise across internal/regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Internal compliance program leadership with a specific focus on policy management.
- Large-scale technology implementation with a strong track record of enterprise project delivery in complex technical/regulatory environments.
- Client management and business development experience driving growth within existing accounts.
- Influence and communication excellence including persuasive leadership, exceptional presentations, public speaking, and workshop facilitation.
- Business-process problem solving and drive with deep process knowledge, using technology and process change to solve problems, and a high determination to succeed in a dynamic, growing team.
- 7+ years of experience is required.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- CPA/CA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CMA, RICS APC, PMP or other relevant certifications desired.
