Principal Product Compliance Advisor
Are you the person who reads a legislative update and immediately sees its impact on entity management software? Do you find yourself bridging the gap between complex regulatory change and the people who actually need to act on it?
If your background is in corporate governance and company secretarial practice — and you know your way around entity management platforms — this is a rare opportunity to shape how a market-leading product evolves to meet global compliance demands. You won't just be advising from the sidelines; you'll be the subject matter expert that product and development teams rely on, the voice in client rooms and at user conferences, and the person who ensures that regulatory change translates into real, prioritised product improvements.
Here's a summary of the role
With 10+ years in company secretarial or corporate governance practice, you understand regulatory compliance and statutory obligations inside out. You're comfortable interpreting complex legislation across multiple jurisdictions and translating it into something that engineers, product managers and non-legal stakeholders can actually use. You may already be a Chartered Company Secretary (ICSA/CGI) or hold an equivalent qualification. You're confident presenting at user conferences, engaging government bodies and third-party regulators, and contributing to a strategic compliance roadmap — all while keeping a sharp eye on what's coming next in the regulatory landscape.
Here's a breakdown of what you'll do (not all of it, just the important stuff)
- Own global compliance coverage — ensuring the entity management platform meets regulatory requirements across all supported jurisdictions
- Track and interpret incoming legislation — building and maintaining a forward-looking backlog of regulatory change with direct product impact
- Be the bridge between compliance and product — working with Product Managers and engineers to translate legislation into clearly prioritised development requirements
- Engage with government bodies and third-party regulators to define and shape the ongoing regulatory support strategy
- Enable client-facing teams — equipping Customer Success, Support, Sales and Training with clear, accurate compliance guidance
- Lead as a thought leader in entity management — presenting at user conferences, running focus groups and participating in strategic client meetings
These are the essentials you'll need to get an interview
- 10+ years of company secretarial experience, either in a corporate environment or professional services
- Strong working knowledge of Diligent Entites management software and statutory compliance processes
- Proven ability to interpret complex, multi-jurisdictional legislation and communicate it clearly to non-legal audiences
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and presentation skills — you're as comfortable in a client meeting as you are drafting a regulatory briefing
- Corporate Governance Institute (CGI) qualification or equivalent (e.g. ICSA, ACIS)
It would be great if you had these too, but we'll support you if you don't
- Experience presenting at industry events or user conferences
- Familiarity with regulatory engagement at a government or policy level
- Experience working within a SaaS or technology-driven product environment
