As a Software Engineer at Diligent, you’ll be hands-on in building and improving the services that power our SaaS platform. You’ll work on designing, developing, and maintaining secure and scalable microservices using AWS, primarily in C#/.NET Core, and contributing to front-end features in Angular.

You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable features and improvements. You’ll also take part in modernizing existing services and supporting the team in adopting better engineering practices, including the use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building high-quality software, is comfortable working in a collaborative environment, and is curious about how AI tools can support day-to-day engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C#/.NET Core in a cloud (AWS) environment
  • Contribute to the development of scalable and secure microservices supporting SaaS products
  • Work with Angular to implement and support end-to-end features where needed
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Support the team in improving existing systems and gradually modernizing legacy services
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, and debugging, while validating outputs for correctness and safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, QA) to deliver well-integrated solutions
  • Follow engineering best practices in areas such as security, performance, and maintainability
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Required Experience / Skills

  • ~3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile environment
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET Core for building RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms and basic serverless concepts

  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and basic infrastructure concepts (Docker, IaC is a plus)
  • Some exposure to front-end development, preferably Angular
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., for coding, debugging, or testing) is a plus, with ability to review outputs critically
  • Basic understanding of software security best practices (e.g., authentication, secrets handling)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent practical experience
