About the Position
Dimagi is looking for a Senior Project Analyst/Field Officer to join our Global Solutions Division. This position is open to team members based in Mozambique. This team member will be a cross-functional member of the team and will be asked to provide support for projects in the Southern Africa region.
The Senior Project Analyst / Field Officer is a key member of the Project Delivery team, and will directly support project teams in creating high-impact, reliable, user-friendly digital systems for Dimagi’s public health partners. This team member will be responsible for supporting field activities occurring in Mozambique including, but not limited to, support in-person meetings, training, capacity building activities, and working with local partners to facilitate requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and more. Further, in this role, the team member will support a project team working on the optimal design and development of applications built on Dimagi’s flagship platform CommCare - including requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation, and monitoring.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position with the possibility of renewal based on business requirements and mutual interest.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between Dimagi, implementing partners, and Ministry of Health stakeholders in Mozambique.
- Provide on-the-ground implementation support, including site visits, training, capacity building, in-person meetings, and hands-on technical troubleshooting.
- Lead requirements gathering by translating technical needs into clear technical requirements, workflows, documentation, and level-of-effort estimates.
- Design and build the optimal system according to the requirements gathered, taking into account end user experience.
- Provide data analysis support to ensure that the information gathered by the mobile tool is meaningful and actionable.
- Product documentation: Support the development and maintenance of functional, technical, and training documentation.
- Implementation Support: Support client and internal teams in understanding how to effectively use the CommCare system and adherence to the agile delivery mode.
- Lead development of a capacity building and/or training curriculum and support clients through capacity building activities.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: support product quality throughout the software development life cycle.
- Update and execute system quality assurance test plans to ensure the project team delivers a high quality product.
- Contribute to project operations including tracking tools, scope and change management, budgeting support, and cross-team coordination.
Relevant Skills
- Fluent in oral and written Portuguese and English
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination or project implementation
- Experience working on software projects
- Experience working in and coordinating with dynamic teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to balance multiple completing tasks across multiple projects
- Excellent organization skills
- Interest in making a social impact
- Eligible to work in the country and willing to travel in the region
- (Bonus) Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- (Bonus) Experience using project management tools like Asana, Jira, or Confluence.
- (Bonus) Experience working with governments and/or public health
- (Bonus) Experience with systems integration and/or database management
- (Bonus) Experience with system and scenario flow diagrams, functional user assessments and testing, architecture and content structure, and technical specifications

The salary for this position which is affiliated with Dimagi's Mozambique Operations is 2,088,408 MZN annually.
