  • Commerce Metrics & Impact Measurement: Track and report on KPIs for commerce marketing initiatives, including developer adoption rates, transaction volume, gifting behavior, revenue impact, and developer satisfaction, providing data-driven insights to continuously refine commerce communication strategies and demonstrate clear ROI for developer partners.
  • Industry Leadership & Thought Leadership: Stay informed about gaming commerce trends, platform economics, social commerce behaviors, and competitive dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and contribute to building Discord's leadership in social gaming commerce innovation.
  • Commerce Messaging & Storytelling: Develop compelling narratives for commerce initiatives targeted at diverse audiences, including game developers (indie to AAA), players, press, industry analysts, and platform partners, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels that emphasizes the win-win value proposition of Discord's commerce ecosystem.

What you should have

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience with at least 3-4 years in platform commerce, gaming monetization, marketplace/e-commerce marketing, or developer platform marketing, preferably within the gaming industry.
  • Passion for gaming communities and a deep understanding of game developer business models, player behavior, social commerce dynamics, and the unique opportunities of monetization within communication platforms.
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capabilities and an action-oriented approach to commerce challenges and developer enablement, with proven success in executing marketing strategies that drive feature adoption, revenue growth, and developer satisfaction.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners, senior stakeholders, and external developer partners, and effectively communicate complex value propositions to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and influence skills with experience working cross-functionally and contributing to commerce product strategy and developer partnership initiatives.
  • Experience developing content strategies that balance developer education with player experience, and translating technical capabilities into compelling market positioning.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
