As the Product Manager for Mesh Networking, you will work closely with the Senior Director of Product to ensure that the product meets customer needs and aligns with the company strategy for long-term success. This is not a hands-off strategy role, we are looking for someone who will become intimately familiar with the product and ultimately be a technical expert in how customers use it. You will drive forward high-visibility and strategic projects with a variety of stakeholders and become the go-to person for all things Mesh Networking in Ditto.
As a Product Manager, you will:
- Work directly with the Senior Director of Product to ensure that your product area aligns with the company strategy
- Work directly with customers and customer-facing teams to ensure that the product is meeting customer needs and explore new product opportunities
- Own your product area end-to-end: contribute to documentation, blog posts, demos, and marketing materials for new features
- Collaborate with the broader product team to ensure success for cross-functional projects involving your product area
- Work with your associated Engineering team(s) to define and prioritize projects including customer requests, tech debt, and specific initiatives; making trade-off calls as required
- Actively maintain a view of how the market, competition, and adjacent technologies evolve, and factor this information into the direction of your product area

What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
- 2+ Years Experience in Product Management for a highly technical product
- 3+ Years working within the computer networking space
- A keen interest to learn, Ditto is innovating and moving fast, you won’t have all the answers but must be capable of finding them
- To be self-driven, nobody will tell you how to manage your day, how you work, or hand-hold you to success
- A problem solving mindset, not every problem can be solved by throwing engineers at it
- The desire to understand the mobile and edge networking market
- A willingness to travel (including internationally) once a quarter for company meetups and other events as necessary
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to collaborate with people from different parts of the company and customers, both technical and non-technical
Nice to Haves:
- Experience working in a remote, globally distributed team
- Experience working with Enterprise-level network security (e.g. Palo Alto Networks, F5 etc)
- Experience working with mesh networking technologies
- Experience working with WANET or MANET systems
- Some familiarity with lower level networking transports and protocols (e.g. TCP, QUIC)
- Some familiarity with bluetooth low energy (BLE)
