Purpose

Technical support for the NPI (new product introduction) build team and its activities for laser powder bed fusion machine development, assembly, testing, and operation, and provides feedback to improve the machine. Ensures build and test milestones and goals are met in collaboration with other AM Development teams and provides feedback and input regarding NPI of complex electromechnical capital equipment. 

2nd shift Monday through Friday (2:30pm- 11pm)

The Role

  • Executes assembly and testing at all levels of component through full system without clear documentation or instructions.
  • Resolves issues related to the machine in order to maintain progress during build, test, calibration, and operation activities.
  • Provides feedback regarding the machine design, process, work instructions, and other documentation.
  • Collaborate with the machine development team to improve machine reliability and performance.
  • Support RCCA activities to identify root causes of manufacturing issues. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 
  • 3+ years of hands-on build, NPI, or manufacturing experience on the shop floor 
  • Hands-on skills in fabrication, assembly, testing, and rework 
  • Hand and power tools
  • Troubleshooting
  • Ability to maintain a clean work environment
  • Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced, open environment
  • Highly adaptable and resilient
  • Passionate about a common mission

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in L-BPF or industrial capital equipment is a plus
  • Experience in NPI development through production lifecycle is a plus 

Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
  • Capability to lift and carry 75lbs., heavy equipment and materials
  • Comfortable working in environments with exposure to dust, noise, and other industrial elements
  • The role requires working in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory

 

Pay Range

$35 - $45 USD
