
Senior Program Manager, Automotive (Temporary)

Purpose
We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to oversee Divergent’s automotive division. The successful candidate will plan, schedule, monitor and control programs focused on deploying Divergent’s technology to develop and deliver components for high performance and luxury automotive brands. This individual will also lead programs that focus on the expansion of Divergent’s capabilities enabling the utilization of DAPS™ for a broader set of automotive applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive project delivery, with a particular emphasis on structural, chassis or Body in White systems.
The Role
- Manage all aspects of automotive programs, from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery of program deliverables and within cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
- Lead in the cross-functional environment by providing strategic context, guidance and constraint.
- Ensure consistent communication with our customers through routine technical program reviews to manage and trade risk to maintain the program deliverables and schedule.
- Build and utilize Divergent program management tools, systems, and templates to draft proposals, write-up statements of work, and track program performance (cost, schedule, and performance).
- Monitor program performance against established metrics and milestones, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Formulate program strategy across a portfolio of customers, identifying new development opportunities, technology risks, and partnerships that Divergent should focus on.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within an OEM or Tier 1 automotive environment.
- Strong technical background in automotive program delivery.
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing applications and robotic assembly systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Problem solver.
- Experience with fast iteration hardware prototyping programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in technical leadership positions.
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred
Pay Range
$52 - $73 USD
