At DKB Code Factory, you'd be taking on a leading role in our Pega chapter. Your mission will be to lead and grow a top-of-the-line chapter of Pega engineers at the heart of DKB’s digital transformation. Our Pega teams build digital self-service solutions that automate operations, reduce manual work, and enable fast, reliable customer service. Your engineering leadership will help shape the experience of millions of customers, making banking more efficient, intuitive, and human.

To be successfull in this role, you become a trusted people leader and delivery coach. Your teams grow, perform, and collaborate better due to your leadership. In detail, you'll...
- Build Your Own Pega Foundation (if not present already): Get a solid overview of Pega low-code technology, including the case lifecycle, rules-based architecture, deployment with branches and pipelines, and how testing works. Aim to complete your SSA certification within your first 5 months.
- Grow a High-Performing Team: Help your people set personal development goals in the first 3 months. Provide regular and effective feedback, supportive career coaching, and structured 360° reviews.
- Accelerate Delivery in your Teams: Take ownership of the software delivery performance for your Pega teams. Within your first 4 months, review key delivery metrics like velocity and Say/Do ratio, identify areas for improvement, and coach your team to make the right process changes to unlock better performance.
- Strengthen Dev-QA Collaboration: Set clear quality goals and build a culture where devs and testers collaborate closely to improve test coverage, automation, release reliability and confidence.
- Hire and Retain Great Talent: Support structured hiring to bring in new high-performing Pega engineers within your first year, and who pass probation and deliver real value.
- Foster a Safe Remote Team Culture: Run regular 1:1s, create trust and psychological safety, and lead bonding initiatives.

This is a hands-off people leadership role. You won’t be writing code, but you’ll need a solid technical foundation to guide your teams. So ideally you bring a background in...
- Software development: Several years of hands-on experience building and delivering software and proficiency in multiple programming languages.
- Bonus: Experience with low-code technology or a QA background.
- Leadership: Experience managing people and leading software engineering teams.
- Language skills: Strong communication skills in English. German is a big plus.
- You are passionate about your work, but also know how to enjoy your free time!
