Overview
DLH is actively recruiting for a Research Coordinator to support our Department of Defense (DoD) client located at Ft. Detrick, MD. The Research Coordinator conducts research and data collection for the medical application of autonomous battlefield or combat casualty care using medical sensors. This person will work as part of a research team designing and developing new autonomous solutions to provide novel technology capabilities for combat casualty care, operational medicine, and force health protection.
Responsibilities
- Development of medical scenarios to enable evaluations, training for evaluators, and evaluation support services.
- Set up and execute field testing and evaluation (T&E) for early concept and prototype casualty simulation data collection events and demonstrations.
- Knowledge and experience initiating research projects, including programmatic and medical research protocol development for establishing a satellite research location.
- Provides verbal and written communication and generates reports necessary to comply with protocol and project requirements.
- Works closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), research staff, and live actors on daily project planning and execution.
- Coordinates and maintains relationships between higher-level Command and local DoD entities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of medical or biomedical research experience.
- Knowledge of the rigors of scientific research to include data collection, good experimental practices, and incorporation of best practices of scientific methods.
- Clinical and/or Military experience such as a Nurse, Combat Medic, or EMT is preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally between testing and training sites.
- Active Public Trust Clearance walking through the door
Basic Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 yearly salary
The salary range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The final offer may vary based on skills, experience, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. We do not use salary history to determine compensation, in line with applicable law.
