Business Banker
DLP Bank is seeking an analytical, highly collaborative and relationship focused Business Banker to manage and monitor an assigned portfolio of commercial and small business loans while supporting lenders and branch personnel with credit analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring. This role helps maintain credit quality, monitor borrower performance, and support relationship growth through close collaboration with commercial bankers, private bankers, and credit administration.
What you have already achieved: (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, portfolio management, or small business lending
- SBA lending experience preferred, but not required
- Previous branch lending and leadership experience is helpful, not required
- Strong financial statement and cash flow analysis skills.
- Knowledge of commercial and small business lending practices.
- Ability to analyze credit risk and recommend appropriate loan structures.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and must enjoy teaching and support others (“heart for service”)
What you are great at: (Responsibilities)
- Support lenders, private bankers, and branch personnel in maintaining strong client relationships and identifying potential credit concerns.
- Manage and monitor an assigned portfolio of commercial and small business loan relationships.
- Perform financial analysis including review of financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow.
- Prepare or assist with credit memorandums, annual reviews, and risk rating recommendations.
- Monitor covenant compliance and borrower performance.
- Ensure compliance with bank credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support lenders and underwriters in preparing loan packages and credit presentations.
- Ensure loan files comply with bank credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
- Support adherence to credit policy, underwriting standards, and risk rating accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned
