Our Los Angeles studio has an opening for an intermediate Project Architect for our Healthcare practice. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home. Considering this model, this role could be based in the following cities:

Position Summary
Project Architects at DLR Group are responsible for managing all aspects of project document development for complex Healthcare projects both large and small. They are also responsible for coordination with project team members to maintain work product quality within the established project schedule.
As part of our integrated design teams you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design. You will partner directly with the Project Manager to ensure the financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, claim prevention, team collaboration and communication. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions.

What you will do:
- Apply practice standards and maintain comprehensive design and technical skillsets across project deliverables
- Ensure BIM standards are applied, QA/QC procedures are followed, and clash detection issues are resolved
- Plan, design, and coordinate projects of varying sizes, while applying advanced architectural concepts and innovative techniques
- Coordinate drawings and specifications with the specification writer and assist in preparing sections as assigned
- Review cost estimates for design alignment and manage time in alignment with the project workplan
- Communicate effectively with the project team through written, oral, and visual means, and lead collaboration to generate design solutions
- Engage peers and specialty experts for holistic solutions and participate in client presentations
- Meet deliverable deadlines, understand construction and material costs, and ensure alignment with the project budget
- Have a comprehensive understanding of, and the ability to coordinate and lead, the design disciplines in developing technical solutions
- Work with contractor during design and construction phase through various project delivery methods including design-build, design-assist, and design-bid-build
- Have knowledge of all aspects of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out
- Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment
- Manage and guide assignments of the production team during design and documentation phase
- Provide QA/QC to the project team and strive for design and technical excellence in design deliverables
- Possess a high level of technical proficiency and attention to detail in the production of drawings
- Work directly with Project Managers and Designers in the conceptual development of project documents
- Grow as a leader of the in-house team, coordinating with engineers, interior designers, the PM and consultants
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in architecture or related field
- 7-11 years of professional architecture experience
- Professional experience working on Healthcare projects
- Working knowledge of HCAI regulations and procedures
- Proficient in REVIT and CAD computer modeling and rendering software
- The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks
- Licensed architect
Preferred Qualifications:
- Eligibility to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

The suggested pay range for this position is:
Pay Range
$90,000 - $120,000 USD
