
Electrical Engineering Co-op (Fall 2025)

Description
Are you an electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology student who wants to advance their technical and customer service skills? As an Electrical Engineer Co-op, you will assist Senior Engineers in the creation of electrical schematics, BOMs, panel layouts, I/O lists as well as the selection of electrical components.

Responsibilities you will assist in:
- Creating custom control panel layouts and bills of materials
- Designing wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and one-line power distribution drawings
- Creating and maintaining AutoCAD Electrical templates, blocks and symbol libraries
- Organizing and maintaining project drawings and technical information
- Managing time amongst multiple projects
Requirements:
- Enrolled at the University of Cincinnati, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Minimum GPA of 3.4
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Experience with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD Electrical)
- Familiarity with motors, instrumentation, control circuits (on/off, latching, etc.), and electrical components
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with control panel heating/cooling requirements
- Ability to create BOM from high level requirements
- Ability to size power components (breakers, fuses, VFDs, Disconnects, etc.)
ITAR Requirements

Compensation
Hourly rate is determined based on relevant experience, location and industry standards.
