Experience: 5+ years’ experience in B2B conference sponsorship and exhibition sales, ideally in the energy sector.
Experience in showcasing a strong sales skill set including but not exclusively, lead generation, cold calling, working with CRM systems, and cultivating sponsorship and exhibition proposals.
Terms of Employment: Permanent/Full time – Monday - Friday
Start date: As soon as possible

Skills/Knowledge & Competencies:
- Excellent telephone sales manner with consistency high call and activity rates
- Have 5+ years’ minimum experience in B2B conference sponsorship and exhibition sales, ideally in the energy sector
- The ability to showcase a strong sales skill set including but not exclusively; lead generation, cold calling, working with CRM systems, cultivating sponsorship and exhibition proposals
- Previous responsibility for ambitious sales targets with the ability to consistently meet and exceed targets
- Be a serial networker and social media savvy
- Have technical experience with contract management, budget management, and proposal writing
- Have experience in the use of databases (preferably Salesforce) in both mass and targeted sales campaigns
- Be able to cross and up sell opportunities and products
- Focus on the customer needs AND seek win/win agreements
- Excellent verbal and written English
Credentials required:
- Diploma and/or Bachelor’s in Management Studies (Business Administration and Management)
JOB DUTIES:
- Consultatively sell effective event, advertising and sponsorship solutions to new and existing clients
- Soliciting new clients to exhibit and sponsor in assigned trade show(s) within a defined and protected territory
- Taking full ownership of your allocated clients, revenue targets, new business development and reporting
- Maintaining and grow sales relationships with existing clients
- Making cold calls and having at least 30 conversations with clients daily
- Researching potential new clients and prospects using various resources for business development
- Actively participating in regular weekly sales meetings and host one meeting a month.
- Weekly reporting of all sales activity, pipeline and forecasts with accurate reporting to the Commercial Sales Director
- Promoting and actively cross-selling into events within the dmg portfolio.
- Creating strong relationships through having face-to-face meetings with existing clients in order to identify future opportunities
- Working to achieve industry appropriate mix of clients whose products, services and technology are being displayed at each event
- Allocating exhibition space and prioritizing the placement of clients – including renewals - based on their specific needs and featured products and services, as well as featured venues
- Preparing sales presentations and proposals to generate sales contracts
- Preparing and entering all contracts and/or supporting paperwork into Salesforce for timely processing
- Utilizing Salesforce CRM to track, build and monitor your sales plan and targets
- Participating in outside events that will promote the company as a critical member of the industry and community, such as networking events and industry events
- Assisting in the coordination of move-in/move-out, the development of show features, and providing on-site floor management
- Working closely with production and marketing teams internally to ensure that you are accurately targeting potential customers and clients; and
- Ensuring the overall level of sales & customer service meets dmg events standards.

Compensation: Please note that the wage will be subject to the prevailing wage in Alberta for NOC 64101 at the time of hiring.
