Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and strategy. The CFO will drive the company's growth, profitability, and long-term financial sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent leadership skills. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Financial Management and Reporting 

  • Oversee the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
  • Making financial presentations to the leadership team and board of directors 
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. 

Manage cash flow & working capital 

Maintain and improve internal control systems and financial policies 

Strategic Planning and Analysis 

  • Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute the company's financial strategy. 
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and operational efficiencies. 
  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis to evaluate the competitive landscape, potential investments, or strategic partnerships. 
  • Provide financial guidance and support for business development initiatives. 

Accounting and Compliance 

  • Oversee the accounting function, ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and industry best practices. 
  • Manage the annual audit process and maintain positive relationships with external auditors. 
  • Manage the tax preparation process and maintain positive relationships with external tax accountants. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements. 
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes. 

Leadership and Team Management 

  • Embrace and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. 
  • Mentor and support finance professionals, providing guidance and opportunities for growth 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with overall business goals. 
  • Represent the company in financial matters with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and industry associations. 

Financials Technology Management 

  • Adopt and understand the company's financial technology stack while continuously evaluating and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and decision-making capabilities. 
  • Adopt a holistic approach to technology, collaborating cross-functionally to integrate financial systems with other business applications and leverage data-driven insights across the organization. 
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for innovative financial technologies that streamline processes, improve accuracy, and provide competitive advantages. 

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Able to be in the center city Philadelphia office at least one day a week.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role and at least 2 years of senior-level experience at a marketing agency preferred or other business services firm required 
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of successful financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment 
  • Experience regularly producing and presenting financial reporting for the leadership team and board of directors. 
  • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of DMi Partners.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights 
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop finance professionals 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to diverse audiences 
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, financial modeling, and data analysis tools, is essential. Experience with QuickBooks Online, Datarails and Rippling is helpful. 

Base Salary $175k-$250k + 20% bonus
