DMi Partners is looking for a Financial Controller to manage the company's accounting operations. As the Financial Controller, you will support the company’s growth effort by maintaining accurate financial data, conducting analysis to inform strategic decision making and improving operational efficiency.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and ensure compliance with systems and procedures designed to prepare reports and financial statements accurately.  You will have daily, weekly, monthly, and annual responsibilities to help you accomplish this primary responsibility. For example, you will be responsible for payment posting, operating bank reconciliations, and revenue reporting every day. Weekly you will be responsible for prompt collection of accounts receivable, timely payment of accounts payable, cost control & monitoring, payroll processing, posting credit card purchases. Monthly, you will be responsible for the close process, updating budget & forecast models, and compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. On an annual basis, you will be responsible for working with the CFO to coordinate the audit and tax preparation and building budgeting & forecasting models. Occasionally, you will be responsible for ad hoc reporting to external parties.

An ideal candidate will have proven experience leading the accounting function within a large, fast-paced organization or advertising agency. You possess solid operational and financial acumen with a strong foundation in (GAAP), (ASC 606) revenue recognition reporting, and cash flow management. Prior experience with Quickbooks and Datarails is highly preferred. Additionally, you have excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and experience presenting financial data to senior-level executives.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • You are a Certified Public Accountant
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
