Senior Software Engineer - Clinical document management (x/f/m)

Paris, Paris, France

What we do

Join a team of passionate and hardworking entrepreneurs to transform healthcare!

Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams.

What you'll do

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Clinical Platform domain (B2B oriented).

You will join a feature team at the core of the Clinical Platform in charge of the document classification module and its connections to external sources: mail providers and directory listeners for instance. This module is at the center of our product, as it’s used by thousands of practitioners every day.

Within a team of 5 software engineers including you, you will work on improving the French classification module and on the development of new modules for Germany and other countries in the future.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features to improve healthcare access for patients
  • Take a leading role within the team and contribute to establishing a technical vision that ensures the performance, security, and usability of the application
  • Bring your expertise and past experiences to help us continuously improve the way we design, implement, test and monitor high-quality features
  • Improving the performance of key features implemented in React (TypeScript/Javascript) and Ruby on Rails, sometimes completely challenging the status quo
  • Work with the team on the definition of the migration strategy on the new backend technical stack in Java/Kotlin
  • Taking leadership on delivering roadmap items (together with the team)
  • Contributing to establishing a technical vision and co-drive the creation of the roadmap for next quarters

Who you are

Are you convinced that you have exactly what it takes for the position? Then we encourage you to apply. Even if you don't meet every requirement, you might be exactly the right future Doctoliber for this or other positions!

  • You have at least 5/6 years of software engineering experience. Our stack is React, Ruby on Rails and Java/Kotlin. We welcome and value strong experience in Java/Kotlin
  • You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn
  • You have a “user first” mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code
  • You are very focused on code quality and have a rigorous testing culture
  • You are eager to share your knowledge and help the team grow by pair programming and mentoring

What we offer
