About the Role

Reports to: VP, Product
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to help translate product vision into clear, actionable technical direction. You will partner closely with our Product Managers, Architect, and Engineering Leads to research technical approaches, document domain architecture, serve as a Subject Matter Expert to engineering, and ensure product goals and engineering realities are aligned. This role is essential to maintaining clarity, quality, and technical feasibility across Documo’s cloud fax, intelligent document processing, workflow, and healthcare integrations platform.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical discovery for new product initiatives, including feasibility, system impacts, performance factors, and integration considerations.
- Partner with Product Managers to refine scope, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment on technical constraints and tradeoffs.
- Translate product intent into clear technical requirements, acceptance criteria, diagrams, and specifications.
- Collaborate with Engineering on solution design, architectural alignment, and modeling system interactions.
- Provide technical context during high-level estimations, sprint planning, refinement, and development discussions.
- Create and maintain internal documentation related to services, data flows, APIs, and domain models.
- Surface risks, opportunities, and innovations relevant to our architecture, AI capabilities, and healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, DSM, etc.).
- Support Engineering, QA, Customer Success, and Operations by providing clear context on system behavior and upcoming changes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- 5+ years in a technical product, systems analysis, engineering, or technical program role.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and integrations.
- Experience writing technical requirements and acceptance criteria with Product Managers.
- Ability to translate between business needs and technical details clearly and effectively.
- Experience collaborating with architects and engineering leads on solution design.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Comfort working remotely and collaborating across time zones.
Bonus Experience
- Exposure to technologies in healthcare or other regulated industries.
- Experience with AI/ML-driven products, workflow automation, and/or developer tools.

In your first 90 days, you will:
- Build a deep understanding of our product offerings, growth strategy, product management processes, architecture, services, and domain.
- Develop strong working relationships across Product and Engineering.
- Take ownership of technical discovery for at least one product area.
By 6 months, you will:
- Lead solution design and technical requirements for key initiatives.
- Be the go-to person for translating product intent into technical clarity.
- Work with Product Managers to improve documentation, processes, or workflows within your product domain.
By 12 months, you will:
- Influence architecture and product strategy through technical insight.
- Drive technical clarity at scale across multiple products or services.
- Play a major role in the quality, reliability, and evolution of our platform.
