Technical Account Manager

Location
Our Technical Account Manager will be an integral part of our Technical Account Management team in North America. This role is based remotely in North America and can sit in either eastern or central time zones.

The Opportunity
As a Technical Account Manager you will help, and challenge, our customers to harness the power of public cloud technologies in the most efficient and effective way.  We are a collaborative team that supports individual, and team, professional growth by providing customers with high level, and hands on, assistance with GCP and AWS.

We work side-by-side with our customers to educate, mentor, advise and to solve problems so they are getting the most out of what the cloud has to offer.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships to influence long-term strategic direction, and act as a trusted advisor to the customer
  • Engage with customer organizations through both tactical and strategic activities to effectively position Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS solutions
  • Work with both technical and business teams, including Director and CxO level to build and maintain relationships
  • Serve as a customer advocate during the customer(s) lifecycle with DoiT International
  • Provide technical guidance  and advice on existing DoiT Customers as a part of DoiT’s Account Management Team 
  • Leverage DoiT Engineering team for Customer's technical challenges
  • Work with your customers on cost optimization (e.g. FinOps), architectural and security reviews
  • Identify new opportunities to help the customer grow, including new workloads, technologies and consultancy
  • Build and maintain relationships with cloud partners (GCP/AWS/Azure) to provide a seamless experience for customers
  • Collaborate within DoiT to find ways to deliver proactive value and innovation for customers
  • Some travel may be required

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar role in a cloud computing environment 
  • 5+ years of experience working for tech companies, with at least 2+ years experience in cloud services working with AWS or Google Cloud
  • Experience or familiarity with FinOps and FinOps tools
  • Ability to work independently and establish yourself as a trusted advisor with Technology companies
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in the cloud technology space
  • Confident presenter with excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to rapidly prototype proofs-of-concept and technical demonstrations
  • Ability to speak and write in English
