Principal Platform PMM & Evangelist, Kubernetes & Data Platforms

Remote US Central

Location
This role is based remotely in the US East or US Central time zones.

Who We Are
DoiT is a global technology company that works with cloud-driven organizations to leverage the cloud to drive business growth and innovation. We combine data, technology, and human expertise to ensure our customers operate in a well-architected and scalable state - from planning to production.

Delivering DoiT Cloud Intelligence, the only solution that integrates advanced technology with human intelligence, we help our customers solve complex multicloud problems and drive efficiency.

With decades of multicloud experience, we have specializations in Kubernetes, GenAI, CloudOps, and more. An award-winning strategic partner of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, we work alongside more than 4,000 customers worldwide.

The Opportunity
We're hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager and Platform Evangelist to own the complete narrative layer for DoiT's platform portfolio: Kubernetes optimization and our expanding data platform coverage including Snowflake and Databricks.

This is a dual-mandate role. You are the senior marketing leader for the Platform business unit: you own positioning, competitive strategy, and the product filter that determines what the market needs to hear. You are also DoiT's external voice for the platform story, the person who shapes how enterprises think about optimizing and operating modern cloud platforms.

This role is part of DoiT Cloud Intelligence, our product portfolio that helps DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and platform teams operate public cloud environments with confidence at scale. As platforms become more automated and complex, how organizations reason about optimization and control must evolve. This role exists to shape that understanding in the market, and to make sure that understanding drives everything PMM produces internally.

This position is built for someone deeply technical with a strong point of view. Someone who has operated real systems, understands tradeoffs firsthand, and can clearly articulate where the industry is heading. You will be equally comfortable influencing engineers and executives.

Reporting & Team Model

This role reports to the Field CTO and sits within the Product Marketing organization. It works closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing, while maintaining a strong external orientation.

You are the buyer-world owner for the Platform business unit. You are paired with a dedicated Execution PMM who turns your narrative and strategic direction into production assets: one-pagers, battle cards, campaign briefs, email sequences. You set the strategy and the filter; your Execution PMM drives the output. You set the strategic brief for each launch, campaign, or enablement push, and collaborate with cross-functional enablement roles to ensure your materials reach the field effectively and are measurable.

You also work directly with the VP of Product for Platform. When 19 features ship in a quarter, you decide which 3 actually matter to the market. This judgment layer is the core of the role.

Responsibilities

Narrative Ownership & Strategic Filter

  • Define and broadly communicate DoiT's point of view on platform optimization across Kubernetes and emerging data platforms, grounded in real-world operational experience.
  • Create and maintain the canonical narratives, mental models, and technical framing of the problem space and its associated solutions that internal teams use as a source of truth. Nothing ships from PMM for Platform that doesn't trace back to your source-of-truth docs.
  • Ensure the story remains coherent and consistent across products, use cases, and customer segments as the platform evolves.
  • Work directly with the VP of Product as the primary marketing interface for the Platform business unit. When multiple features, capabilities, or integrations ship in a quarter, decide which ones matter to the market and deserve PMM investment. Filter noise for the organization.
  • Translate product roadmap into market narrative, connecting what we're building to why buyers should care.

Content, Education & Evangelism

  • Develop high-quality content such as webinars, technical talks, blogs, and whitepapers that educate the market and shape demand.
  • Speak publicly at conferences, industry events, and community forums, representing DoiT as a trusted authority.
  • Engage with practitioner and open source communities to stay close to how platforms are actually built and operated.
  • Build and deliver live demos, walkthroughs, and reference architectures that demonstrate how optimization works in real environments
  • This is not a side project. External evangelism is roughly half the role. The goal is to build a visible market presence for DoiT's platform story.

Competitive & Market Intelligence

  • Own the living competitive view for the Platform business unit. Not just battle cards, but the ongoing judgment of where we win, where we lose, and what to do about it.
  • Own executive-level positioning and objection handling in complex or strategic conversations.
  • Speak regularly with customers and prospects to understand pain points, objections, and emerging patterns across industries.
  • Help define and refine ICPs and problem domains, including how different industries approach automation, risk, and control.
  • Synthesize insights into clear, actionable input for Product and leadership to influence roadmap and strategic direction.
  • Challenge short-term or misleading narratives when they undermine long-term category leadership and trust.

Qualifications

  • Senior product marketing experience. You've owned positioning and go-to-market strategy end-to-end for a technical product sold to platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE buyers. Not contributed to it. Owned it.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud platforms, with the ability to reason about automation, performance, and operational tradeoffs at a systems level.
  • Familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies, and an understanding of why optimization becomes critical as these platforms scale.
  • Experience building, operating, or deeply engaging with real-world platform systems.
  • Strong technical intuition and comfort explaining complex architectures clearly to senior engineers, platform leaders, and executives.
  • A clear, opinionated point of view and the confidence to express it publicly and internally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity, agency, and influence without relying on formal authority.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Canonical positioning and source-of-truth documents exist for the platform portfolio within 90 days. Sales can articulate the platform story without calling you.
  • Buyers arrive with a clear understanding of the problem space and DoiT's point of view before engaging sales.
  • Sales cycles shorten due to stronger narrative clarity and market education upstream.
  • The VP of Product considers you their go-to marketing partner. Product direction is visibly influenced by your market signal.
  • Executives and practitioners repeat DoiT's narrative in their own words.
  • DoiT is referenced externally as a leader in Kubernetes and data platform optimization.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
