ROLE SUMMARY:

We’re looking for an analytical and hands-on Paid Media expert to be the driving force behind our growth initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to own strategy while maintaining deep, daily involvement in campaign execution.

This role is for the media expert who loves working directly in platforms and solving performance puzzles daily. You’ll have your pulse on full-funnel paid media performance, partnering closely with our agency and media partners to ensure execution quality, optimization depth, and spending efficiency.

Our ideal candidate is eager to grow and passionate about turning complex data into actionable insights while maintaining a relentless focus on achieving business goals. You’ll lead the strategic direction and hands-on optimization of our multi-million-dollar paid media budget across channels.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Platform Ownership & Deep Dive Execution: Spend significant time inside the ad platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.) to conduct deep analysis, audit campaign structure, troubleshoot technical issues, and partner with our paid media partners to drive performance
  • Strategic Direction & Budgeting: Develop the holistic paid media strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and channel allocation to hit key LTV and CPA targets for both direct-to-consumer and brand awareness campaigns
  • Agency Management & Oversight: Act as the strategic client lead for our external agency. You will own the strategic briefs, hold the agency accountable for performance, and ensure best-in-class execution quality
  • Testing & Optimization: Drive A/B and multivariate testing programs to continually improve performance across the marketing funnel, from bidding strategies to creative tests
  • Performance Analysis: Own reporting dashboards, analyze campaign performance with regular data analysis, and translate complex data (including CAC, ROAS, LTV, and cohort analysis) into clear, actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in paid media, with a proven track record of driving notable growth for direct-to-consumer and e-commerce brands. Experience with subscription models is a plus
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • A history of being hands-on in the media platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.) is non-negotiable. You should be comfortable drilling into campaign settings and performance reports yourself
  • Proven experience managing external agency partners to achieve business goals, providing strategic direction, and monitoring performance and execution quality
  • Expert knowledge of the digital media ecosystem, including Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, and Digital Video
  • Expert-level proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to inform strategy and optimize campaigns. Fluent in cohort analysis, LTV, audience segmentation, and multi-touch attribution models
  • Proficiency with BI Visualization Tools (e.g., Tableau) and Analytics Tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • A highly analytical mindset with meticulous quantitative skills

POSITION TYPE:
This is a full-time exempt position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is in-office, working out of our HQ in Durham, North Carolina 4x a week.

SALARY:
$150,000-$165,000 + Bonus
