Scheduler

Help Build the Plan That Keeps Great Projects Moving

At Dome Construction, successful projects start with a strong plan. We are looking for an experienced Scheduler who can bring project teams together, turn complex construction details into practical schedules, and help our teams anticipate challenges before they affect the work.

This is more than a schedule-maintenance role. You will serve as a strategic planning partner to our Operations, Project Management, and field teams, providing the insights and guidance needed to align resources, sequencing, procurement, trade partner activities, and key milestones. [

If you enjoy solving complex problems, collaborating with project teams, and using data to help projects stay predictable and on track, this could be a great next step for you.

What You’ll Do

As a Scheduler, you will support projects from preconstruction through closeout by:

  • Developing and maintaining baseline, master, milestone, conceptual, and recovery schedules
  • Partnering with Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Executives, and trade partners to build realistic project plans
  • Creating schedules that account for construction sequencing, resources, procurement lead times, and critical milestones
  • Supporting pursuit and preconstruction efforts with schedules used for planning, estimating, and client presentations
  • Analyzing critical path activities, constraints, delays, and potential schedule risks
  • Evaluating the effects of design changes, procurement challenges, owner requests, weather events, and field conditions
  • Developing mitigation and recovery strategies with project teams
  • Monitoring progress, forecasting completion dates, and producing look-ahead schedules and variance reports
  • Facilitating schedule reviews, pull-planning sessions, and collaborative planning workshops
  • Presenting schedule updates, risks, and recommendations to project and operations leadership
  • Improving Dome’s scheduling standards, templates, tools, and planning practices across projects

What You Bring

  • At least three years of experience in construction scheduling, project controls, project engineering, field engineering, project management, or a related construction role
  • Experience developing and maintaining construction project schedules
  • Working knowledge of Critical Path Method scheduling
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules
  • Experience working collaboratively with project teams, Superintendents, and subcontractors
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or a comparable scheduling platform
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant construction scheduling experience

Even Better If You Have

  • Five or more years of commercial construction scheduling experience
  • Experience supporting multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience leading pull-planning, milestone-planning, or collaborative scheduling sessions
  • Knowledge of schedule risk analysis, delay analysis, recovery planning, forecasting, earned value concepts, or project controls
  • Experience supporting large, complex, or highly phased construction projects
  • A Planning & Scheduling Professional certification or similar credential
  • Experience presenting schedule recommendations to senior project and operations leaders

How You’ll Make an Impact

Your work will help project teams identify risks earlier, make informed decisions, and create greater accountability around project milestones. By combining scheduling expertise with construction knowledge and strong relationships, you will help our teams deliver more predictable and successful project outcomes.

This role includes occasional travel to construction sites, Dome offices, client meetings, planning sessions, and other business-related events. Travel will vary based on project assignments and business needs.

If you are a collaborative construction professional who sees a schedule as more than a collection of dates, we would love to hear from you. Join Dome Construction and help our teams transform complex project plans into coordinated, achievable paths forward.
