Position Summary

We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Estimator to prepare timely, competitive, and executable estimates for commercial roof repairs and service projects. This primarily office-based role partners with roof technicians, sales, vendors, customers, and operations to move projects from initial scope through proposal and handoff. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with technology, and able to manage a high-volume workload with consistent follow-through. 

The ideal candidate is organized, technologically capable, consistent, and motivated to build a long-term career in commercial roofing. Potential career paths include advancement into broader Estimator and Senior Estimator positions or growth within the service department into service management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial roofing repairs and service projects.
  • Review field reports, photos, measurements, plans, and specifications to determine project scope.
  • Conduct occasional site visits to evaluate roof conditions, access, staging, and equipment needs.
  • Obtain material and equipment pricing from vendors and identify cost-effective roofing solutions.
  • Prepare RFIs when project information is incomplete or unclear.
  • Manage assigned estimates and follow-ups using Excel, estimating software, and company CRM systems.
  • Coordinate with sales, roof technicians, customers, and operations throughout the estimating process.
  • Complete project handoff documents, attend preconstruction meetings, and assist with change-order pricing.
  • Consistently meet assigned deadlines and estimate-volume expectations, generally 10–15 estimates per week depending on complexity.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Construction, roofing, field service, or estimating experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Strong math, writing, critical-thinking, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Windows, and electronic file management.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access commercial roofs, work at heights, and occasionally work outdoors in hot or cold conditions.

Preferred

  • One to three years of commercial roofing or construction estimating experience.
  • Knowledge of low-slope commercial roofing systems and repair methods.
  • Experience with The EDGE, Dataforma, ServiceTitan, or similar estimating and CRM software.
  • Experience preparing proposals, RFIs, change orders, or project handoff documentation.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • Standard business hours: 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Primarily office-based with occasional local job-site visits.

Compensation

  • $65,000–$75,000 annual base salary, depending on experience.
  • Eligible for a monthly performance-based bonus based on qualifying work sold, completed, and collected.

Location: Nashville, TN (On-site daily) 

FLSA: Salaried, Exempt

Compensation for this role may be provided as hourly pay, salary, commission, piece-rate, bonuses, incentives, or a combination of these methods, depending on the position. The “Target Salary Compensation” listed reflects our good-faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this role, based on factors such as experience, skills, candidate geographic location, state the job is located in, historical trends, and business needs. Actual earnings may vary.

Where required by law, we also provide a general description of benefits and other forms of compensation offered, which may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other employee programs.

 

Target Salary Compensation:

$65,000 - $75,000 USD
