Manager, Strategy & Operations, In-Store
About the Team
In-Store is an exciting new vector for DoorDash. We're driving DoorDash customers into our partners' physical stores, boosting sales and building long-term loyalty across every channel. At the same time, we're expanding our merchant technology suite, enabling restaurant partners to power their own digital channels and in-store operations through DoorDash infrastructure.
In ANZ, we're building across two fronts: deepening the in-store customer experience from discovery to dining, and equipping merchants with the technology to own their own guest relationships. We're a fast-moving team operating at the intersection of product, commercial, and operations, and we're just getting started.
About the Role
As Manager, Strategy & Operations: In-Store, you will have direct commercial accountability for our merchant technology go-to-market strategy, strategic guidance and support across our in-store growth programmes, and a meaningful contribution to shaping the long-term in-store strategy for the region.
This role is highly cross-functional and carries genuine ownership. You will work directly with ANZ Leadership to own defined commercial outcomes, build the analytical and operational infrastructure the team runs on, and help define what the in-store business looks like at scale. The role sits at the intersection of product, sales, marketing, and analytics.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build the future: Work closely with global product teams as the primary voice of the ANZ merchant. You'll identify gaps, define requirements, and influence the roadmap based on what merchants in this market actually need, translating local insight into product decisions.
- Lead: Provide strategic leadership and analytical support to the team leading our in-store growth programmes, including in-store rewards and table reservations.
- Shape Strategy: Partner with ANZ Leadership to develop the long-term regional strategy. You'll help define how our products and programmes converge into a single merchant proposition and what the in-store business looks like at scale across APAC.
- Analyse: Build the commercial intelligence layer for the team, performance dashboards, financial models, and frameworks that inform investment decisions and track progress against regional goals.
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 6+ years of experience in strategy & operations, leadership, management consulting, or a senior role in a high-growth technology company.
- You have a track record of owning commercial outcomes end-to-end, you've launched or scaled products, not just supported them.
- You think like a strategic partner and operate like an owner. Using SQL, financial modelling, and commercial frameworks, you identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and influence decisions. You're comfortable getting into the details, navigating ambiguity, and independently turning insights into action.
- You've operated across multiple products or business lines simultaneously.
- You're comfortable tackling new problems where the data, ownership, and path forward aren't immediately clear. You can quickly build context, identify the key drivers, and turn ambiguity into action
- You communicate with clarity and credibility, able to align product, marketing, and senior stakeholders around a clear point of view.
- Bonus: experience in marketplace dynamics, SaaS GTM, or the hospitality and restaurant industry.
