Associate, New Verticals - Canada Growth Strategy & Operations

About the Role

As an Associate on our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team, you will be responsible for identifying, leading, and prioritizing initiatives to improve our fee structure and affordability across the New Verticals Canadian business. You will lead short term execution and help shape long term strategy, identify pricing opportunities, and partner with our product team to experiment with new features for Canadians.  This role is currently an individual contributor, with future opportunities to grow your team.

  • Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s New Verticals business, across small, medium and enterprise partners. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details.
  • Strategize. From first principles, you’ll support in developing the optimal strategy for best serving our customers. 
  • Experiment. You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes, informing your larger initiative implementation plans.
  • Analyze. You’ll analyze the customer and use that data to inform strategy. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate based on data.

  • You are analytical – You use data to inform tough decisions, and are comfortable operating at both the 10,000 foot level and at the 10 inch level. You are comfortable in tools like Excel, SQL and more! 
  • You work to get 1% better every day – You're always looking for opportunities to better your work product and own the outcome – both the good and the badYou have 1-3+ years experience in consulting, finance or related strategy and operations 
  • You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within British Columbia.

$66,500 - $95,000 CAD
