To support our growing platform and evolving product needs, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who is passionate about full stack development and AI. 

About the Role

DoorDash is looking for a Full-Stack Engineering Manager with deep expertise in Data and AI to lead a high-performing team in building robust, scalable, and intelligent web applications. This role involves owning the end-to-end software development lifecycle from architectural design to implementation, deployment, and performance optimization while ensuring agility, innovation, and technical excellence.

In this role, you will oversee the development of platforms that seamlessly integrate full stack engineering with data infrastructure and AI capabilities.  Your focus extends to fostering an engineering culture of excellence, empowering engineers to deliver reliable, flexible solutions at scale. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in building and nurturing a top-performing team, driving innovation and success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

We’re excited about you because you have…

  • B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience working in full-stack development, with a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end technologies
  • 3+ years of hands-on management experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience on tech stacks including React, RESTful APIs/ gRPC and SQL.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, React.
  • Familiar with programming languages Python/Kotlin/Go
  • Experience in building large-scale microservice-based architectures working with cloud services like AWS,
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, experience hiring and growing teams with a proven ability to operate in a fast moving environment
  • Experienced with performance management, coaching, mentoring and growing teams
  • Proficient in system design and with a strong understanding and application of AI solutions, using LLMs in data space
