About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Program Manager, University & Apprenticeships to build DoorDash's University and Apprenticeship strategy in India from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to create a foundational capability for a new market, designing scalable programs, establishing strategic partnerships and building the infrastructure that will support our future workforce.

Reporting into the Head of India Talent Acquisition, you'll own the end-to-end strategy, design and execution of our university recruiting and apprenticeship programs across India. You'll partner closely with Talent Acquisition, business leaders, People, Finance and external partners to create programs that deliver an exceptional candidate experience while building sustainable talent pipelines for the business.

Build DoorDash's University & Apprenticeship strategy

  • Develop and execute DoorDash's University Recruiting and Apprenticeship strategy for India, aligned with business growth and workforce planning.
  • Build the program operating model, governance, annual roadmap and success metrics from the ground up.
  • Design scalable hiring programs that attract, assess, develop and convert high-potential university and apprenticeship talent into full-time employees.
  • Continuously evolve program strategy based on business priorities, market insights and hiring outcomes.

Launch and scale the Apprenticeship program

  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of DoorDash India's Apprenticeship program.
  • Build program frameworks, learning journeys, manager enablement and conversion strategies that create meaningful career pathways.
  • Ensure programs align with Indian apprenticeship regulations and relevant government frameworks where applicable.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve apprentice attraction, development, conversion and retention.

Build strategic university partnerships

  • Establish long-term partnerships with universities, engineering colleges, technical institutes and training providers across India.
  • Develop campus engagement strategies that strengthen DoorDash's employer brand and position the company as an employer of choice for early career talent.
  • Partner with external organisations and industry bodies to expand DoorDash's early talent ecosystem.

Deliver scalable programmes

  • Lead cross-functional program delivery across Talent Acquisition, People, Finance, Legal and business teams.
  • Create repeatable processes, governance and operational frameworks that enable programs to scale as DoorDash grows in India.
  • Manage program timelines, budgets, risks and stakeholder communications while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

Measure impact and drive continuous improvement

  • Define KPIs across attraction, hiring, diversity, conversion, retention and program performance.
  • Use data and market insights to evaluate program success and inform strategic decisions.
  • Present program performance, recommendations and long-term talent insights to senior stakeholders.

Influence and lead

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for University Recruiting and Apprenticeships within DoorDash India.
  • Influence hiring leaders to invest in early career talent as a strategic workforce solution.
  • Share external best practices and market trends to continuously raise the quality and impact of DoorDash's early talent strategy.

We're excited about you because...

  • Significant experience designing, launching and scaling University Recruiting, Early Careers or Apprenticeship programs in India.
  • Experience building programs from the ground up in a high-growth, scaling or building environment.
  • Strong knowledge of India's university ecosystem, engineering and technical institutions, and apprenticeship landscape.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships with universities, training providers, industry organizations or government agencies.
  • Proven program management experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across multiple teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, using data and business insight to inform decisions.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building new processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with or managing delivery through an RPO is a plus.
