About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Operations Shift Lead to oversee and manage the daily activities of our operations team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that all remote operations run smoothly and efficiently during your assigned shifts, maintaining high standards of productivity and quality. Operations include testing, general deployment, logging across various offices, and maintaining efficiency across our team. As a key member of our Remote Operations Team, you will report to higher management and drive excellence in the department.
Shift: This role requires flexible hours/days, ranging from 7AM to 12 AM CST, Monday through Sunday.

- Motivate and guide team members to achieve and maintain high performance.
- Monitor and manage workflow and schedules to meet operational goals.
- Adapt to various roles as needed.
- Handle administrative duties such as managing schedules, escalating issues, and aiming to proactively find solutions for any inefficiencies promptly.
- Communicate effectively with other shift leads and management to ensure seamless operations across shifts.
- Enforce safety and compliance standards at all times during the shift.
- Improve team safety and efficiency by implementing process enhancements.
- Collaborate with other Team Leads and Engineers to align team objectives with overall goals.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in autonomous and/or robotics operations management.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, make sound decisions quickly, and mentor others effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting ideas to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Safety Focus: Strong commitment to fostering a culture of safety; skilled in implementing safe and efficient practices while working with safety teams and protocols.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in tools such as Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, Linux, and GitHub.
- Comfortable navigating web-based tools and working on a computer for extended periods.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to handle complex operational challenges and drive process improvements.
- Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and is flexible with fluctuating or non-traditional schedules.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategies that align with broader company goals and drive operational success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Hands-on experience in autonomous vehicle operations, remote assistance, logistics, or technical dispatch/support.
- Familiarity with fast-paced tech or startup environments.
- Experience collaborating with engineering or cross-functional teams to improve tools and processes.
- Comfortable using operational tools such as Jira, Slack, or other ticketing and communication platforms
- Strong communication skills for real-time coordination and reporting.
