Group Product Manager - Fraud, Trust & Safety

About the Team

Our Payments Fraud and Trust & Safety Product team is dedicated to ensuring a safe and trusted experience for all users across our platform, including consumers, merchants, and Dashers. We tackle complex challenges, from preventing payment fraud to ensuring regulatory compliance, while balancing risk mitigation and seamless user experience. Our team partners closely with cross-functional groups, including Engineering, Data Science, Compliance, and Risk Operations, to drive strategic initiatives that protect our business while fostering growth.

About the Role

As the Group Product Manager for Fraud, Trust & Safety, you will lead a team of ~6 PMs spanning multiple initiatives, including Payments Fraud, Identity Verification, and Offline Safety. Your work will help reduce financial risk, enhance user authentication, and ensure regulatory compliance across diverse global markets. This role is an opportunity to drive innovation in fraud prevention, machine learning-driven risk assessment, and customer trust.

Your success will be measured by key metrics such as Dasher authenticity, Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, chargeback rates, and regulatory readiness. In this role, you will tackle ambiguous, high-impact problems, working closely with engineering, analytics, and business leaders to develop scalable solutions​.

You will report into the Director of Trust & Safety and Integrity within the Customer Support Experience and Fraud organization.

  • Lead a team of PMs (direct reports) driving innovation in fraud prevention, trust & safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop scalable solutions for complex risk problems, including unauthorized payments, identity verification, and dispute resolution.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams such as CX, Design, Engineering, S&O, and Analytics to enhance security and trust in our platform​.
  • Own and influence key risk-related metrics, such as chargeback rates, user friction, and regulatory compliance.
  • Define and execute the roadmap for offline safety, financial risk management, and global compliance strategy.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 8+ years of Product Management experience with deep domain expertise in fraud, risk, and/or trust & safety.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of PMs.
  • 5+ years in a fraud, risk or payments product.
  • You have experience leading cross-functional teams and working with machine learning-based risk models.
  • You thrive in ambiguous environments and can make data-driven decisions while balancing trade-offs between user experience and risk mitigation.
  • You have a track record of navigating regulatory requirements, building scalable fraud prevention systems, and driving company-wide impact.
  • You are a strong communicator who can align stakeholders and influence decision-making across business, product, and engineering teams.
  • Strong leadership and maturity to build (attract, hire, retain) and scale a world-class Product organization.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
