About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Inside Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team of Account Executives. In this role, you’ll manage the daily operations of your team, ensuring they meet and exceed performance targets while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service. You’ll be responsible for driving new merchant acquisition and fostering long-term relationships with valuable restaurant partners on the DoorDash platform.
As a key leader, you’ll work closely with the Senior Manager and other cross-functional teams to define and execute sales strategies, report on key metrics, and continuously innovate to refine our approach to business development. You will also play a vital role in growing and developing the team’s skill set and ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Account Executives to achieve individual and team sales goals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and success.
- Strategic Oversight & Execution: Develop and execute strategic plans for new business acquisition and expansion, aligning team efforts with DoorDash’s overall business objectives.
- Sales Operations & Metrics: Manage daily sales activities and performance metrics, ensuring KPIs are met and exceeded. Prepare regular reports and updates for senior leadership, providing insights into sales performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, marketing, strategy, and other internal teams to optimize sales processes, support lead generation efforts, and enhance merchant acquisition strategies.
- Process Optimization & Efficiency: Create and implement systems, processes, and workflows that enable the team to work effectively and efficiently, driving consistent results and reducing friction in sales operations.
- Team Performance & Culture: Foster a high-performance culture within the team by setting clear goals, providing ongoing coaching, and ensuring the team remains motivated and engaged.
- Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Identify challenges and work proactively to resolve them, ensuring obstacles are addressed and the team can continue to meet business objectives.
- Inspire Innovation: Continuously evaluate and iterate on sales strategies, offering new ideas to improve team performance, product offerings, and overall customer experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strategic Thinker: You can see the big picture while managing the details, identifying opportunities to improve sales performance, and addressing challenges before they become roadblocks.
- Proven Leadership: You have experience leading, coaching, and developing sales teams, with a track record of driving successful outcomes and high employee engagement.
- Sales Expertise: You have experience in managing sales teams within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and you’re familiar with key sales tools (e.g., SFDC, Outreach, Chorus, GSuite) to streamline operations and drive results.
- Results-Oriented: You thrive on achieving targets and take quick, decisive action to keep projects on track.
- Strong Communicator: You are a clear and persuasive communicator, able to build strong relationships with your team, peers, and leadership across the organization.
- Organized & Analytical: You can prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects, and apply data-driven decision-making to improve performance.
- Customer-Focused: You are passionate about providing outstanding service to our partners and ensuring the team’s success is always aligned with our customers’ needs.
- Multilingual Skills (a plus): If you’re fluent in multiple languages, we’d love to hear from you..
- 3-5 years Sales Leadership experience with 7+ years of overall sales experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$116,960 - $172,000 USD
The total on-target earnings (base + commissions) for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$146,200 - $215,000 USD
