About the Role
DoorDash is hiring an exceptional, business-minded negotiator to join our Legal team. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to oversee the lifecycle of contracts across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various types of contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and business goals. You’ll work on a wide variety of deal types, many of which enable DoorDash to open new routes to market.
We’re looking for an experienced contracts negotiator with a strong work ethic, excellent analytical and communication skills, who thrives in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be creative and curious, is a self-starter who takes ownership over initiatives, and is hands-on taking into consideration the lowest level of detail.

- Draft, negotiate and examine a broad range of customer-facing agreements, such as DoorDash & SevenRooms merchant agreements, SaaS agreements, as well as various ancillary agreements.
- Assist in the creation of training and enablement documentation to drive efficient interaction between the Legal team and other departments.
- Support legal operations regarding contract lifecycle management and other tools, including creating approval workflows for access and tracking performance metrics.
- Partner with finance, deal desk, tax, privacy and security, and other internal stakeholder teams to ensure negotiated agreements are consistent with internal policies.

- Have experience supporting contracts for a fast- paced sales organization.
- Bring deep experience drafting and negotiating a large volume of contracts, and have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple contract deadlines
- Have a strong understanding of contract law, legal terminology.
- Have excellent negotiation and communication skills, as well as a high attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Work autonomously and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a proven ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
- Proficiency with Contract Lifecycle Management systems and similar workflow tools preferred, but not required.
- Foster empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect in your practice, and you default toward assuming good intentions about others.
- Are curious, humble (no task is too big or too small), and—through it all—don’t take yourself too seriously.
- Are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment and have prioritized participating in DEI initiatives in past roles.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree (JD or paralegal certification a plus).
- Bring a minimum of 7 years of experience in contract management, legal, or paralegal roles.

Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$122,400 - $180,000 USD
