About the Role

We are hiring a Leave of Absence & Accommodations Business Partner, to successfully execute operational processes, drive continuous improvement and ensure regulatory adherence, all while providing our employees with exceptional experience during key moments that matter. The primary responsibility is to guide and support employees, managers, and stakeholders through the entire leave lifecycle. This includes the critical stages of initiating leave, ensuring accurate coordination, determining eligibility, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and policies, including return to work and accommodations while working closely with all other business stakeholders.

We are seeking a versatile, quick-thinking team member to join our Leave & Accommodation Team and support our global employees company-wide. This role is a full-time opportunity. You will report into the Leave of Absence Manager on our People Platforms  team in our People organization. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how a high-growth global company navigates leaves and accommodations - balancing compliance, scalability, and employee experience to enable our workforce to thrive.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Strategically Manage Leave and Accommodation Activities: Oversee and refine the management of day to day leave and accommodations activities , ensuring compliance with federal, state, local and global regulations for countries in which we operate.
  • Coordinate Complex Programs: Lead the coordination of various programs during the employee leave process including but not limited to company-provided disability benefits (STD, LTD) as well as locally mandated programs. Apply your deep understanding and knowledge of global leave laws (Including federal and state laws in the US and International laws such as FMLA, ADA, PFL, GDPR, Etc.) and country specific accommodation requirements to ensure seamless integration and administration. 
  • Lead Collaborative Efforts with Key Stakeholders: Take a lead role in collaborating with stakeholders including HR Business Partners, managers, and our Payroll and Legal teams to manage and resolve complex ADA Accommodations that require influence without authority.
  • Advanced Caseload Management: Apply your advanced organizational and time management skills to manage a complex caseload, overseeing the entire lifecycle of each case from initiation to resolution. 
  • Expert Response to Inquiries: Provide expert-level responses to employee questions, stakeholder inquiries ensuring clarity, compliance, and compassion in all communications.
  • Drive Other Strategic Initiatives: Engage in and lead other related initiatives as needed, leveraging your strategic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills to contribute to broader organizational objectives to make us 1% better everyday.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Projects: Drive high impact projects in global leaves program management in using automation for scaling processes in high-growth business environments, where speed and quality matters.

  • You bring experience designing and administering equitable leave and accommodations programs supporting diverse and international populations.

  • You have a track record of excellent judgment, discretion and the capability to make sound, independent decisions while excelling in your ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • You’re a strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively – you naturally focus on the right things and can seamlessly move between projects & tasks, without losing sight of what's important to do.
  • You’re an outstanding communicator with sophisticated  relationship-building skills.  You are known for your ability to influence others, engage in meaningful dialogue, and navigate complex interpersonal dynamics. 
  • You bring substantial background with 5+ years of direct, high-level experience in managing centralized leaves and accommodations. This experience should reflect not only a depth of knowledge in operational aspects but also strategic insights and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience working with leave tracking HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and leave vendor management platforms (Absence Soft).

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

See below for paid time off details:

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$100,600 - $148,000 USD
