We’re a collaborative, high-performing group that values curiosity, good judgment, and clear, creative storytelling.

About the Role

The Corporate Communications Associate will play a key role in shaping and sharing DoorDash’s corporate story through media relations, storytelling, digital-first content, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who’s equal parts strategic thinker and detail-oriented executor who thrives in fast-paced environments, values precision, and brings a disruptive mindset to traditional communications. You’ll help connect the dots between strategy and storytelling, ensuring DoorDash shows up with clarity, creativity, and impact on the global stage. You will report into the Manager, Corporate Communications on our Corporate Communications team in our Communications organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Help tell the story of how DoorDash empowers local economies by supporting proactive and reactive communications across business, technology, and financial press.
  • Gain exposure to complex business and reputational challenges while learning from a seasoned team that values creativity, sound judgment, and continuous growth.
  • Contribute to digital-first storytelling by helping translate corporate announcements and narratives into content ideas that resonate across platforms like LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Shape clear, compelling messaging and materials that advance DoorDash’s corporate storytelling and strengthen our reputation with key audiences.
  • Draft, edit, and organize communications materials, including press releases, newsroom posts, Q&As, executive bios, and coverage summaries that reinforce DoorDash’s story.
  • Support major company milestones and storytelling moments through earned media, owned social content, as well as creative activations that highlight DoorDash’s innovation, ambition, and impact.
  • Coordinate interviews, press briefings, and announcement logistics, ensuring smooth execution and consistent messaging across stakeholders.
  • Maintain the operational backbone of the Corporate Communications function by managing systems and materials that keep the team running efficiently, including tracking media opportunities and speaking engagements, updating key assets, and maintaining core communications infrastructure.
  • Identify and apply AI and automation tools to streamline monitoring, reporting, and data tracking, reducing manual work and creating more space for strategic storytelling.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 2–4 years of experience in communications, brand strategy, PR, journalism, or a related field, and you’re comfortable working in fast-paced, creative, or cross-functional environments.
  • You’re an adaptable and thoughtful communicator who can turn complex topics into clear, engaging stories that resonate with a wide range of audiences.
  • You bring an ownership mindset to your work, combining strategic thinking with strong execution and attention to detail.
  • You are digitally fluent and culturally curious, with a natural feel for how storytelling evolves across platforms and audiences.
  • You exercise sound judgment and discretion, handling sensitive information and fast-moving situations with composure and care.
  • You are interested in exploring how technology, including AI, can improve how teams communicate, track, and measure impact.
  • You collaborate naturally, communicate clearly, and enjoy building strong, trusted relationships across teams.
  • You take your work, but not yourself, seriously, and bring optimism, humility, and good humor to everything you do.
