Merchant Experience New Verticals Project Supervisor

Tempe, AZ

About the Team

The Catalog Projects Team within Merchant Experience Operations (MXO) is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving merchant catalogs — ensuring that merchants can accurately and effectively showcase their products to customers on the platform. As a project-driven and operations-focused team, we pilot, test, and implement scalable workflows and tools that enhance catalog quality, efficiency, and operational consistency across DoorDash’s New Verticals.

Our team collaborates closely with Product, Strategy & Operations, Engineering, and Catalog Ops to translate business needs into actionable solutions. We work daily within data, automation, and workflow management environments such as Google Sheets, MODE Analytics, Jira, Salesforce, and internal DoorDash tools.

About the Role

As a Project Supervisor within the Catalog Projects Team, you will lead high-impact initiatives that pilot, evaluate, and integrate new tools and workflows across Catalog Operations. You will own project execution from planning through rollout, coordinating cross-functional contributors and ensuring initiatives align with strategic goals and deliver measurable results.

This role blends project leadership, systems thinking, and operational excellence. While this position does not include direct people management, it carries significant ownership and influence across projects and workstreams. You will provide guidance, structure, and mentorship to project contributors, ensuring strong collaboration, data integrity, and high-quality execution.

The position is remote, with opportunities for in-person collaboration during planning sessions and team events.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Own end-to-end project delivery, including scoping, execution, communication, and success measurement.
  • Translate strategic goals into clear project plans, ensuring scope, ownership, and timelines are well-defined.
  • Pilot, test, and evaluate AI-assisted workflows to drive automation, improve accuracy, and scale efficiency.
  • Coordinate project contributors across multiple workstreams to ensure deadlines, dependencies, and quality standards are met.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in MODE and Google Sheets to track milestones, risks, and performance visibility for leadership.
  • Act as a cross-functional liaison between Product, Engineering, Strategy & Operations, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and progress on shared objectives.
  • Create project documentation, rollout plans, and training materials to support adoption across operational teams.
  • Communicate progress, outcomes, and learnings through clear storytelling and visual reporting that drives cross-team visibility.
  • Capture learnings and identify opportunities to continuously improve how the Catalog Projects Team delivers scalable and measurable value.

We’re excited about you because you…

  • Are a systems thinker who connects people, tools, and processes to move complex initiatives forward.
  • Bring strong project management discipline and can manage multiple initiatives with speed, clarity, and accountability.
  • Navigate cross-functional and matrixed teams effectively, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals and decisions.
  • Are excited to pilot and integrate AI and automation solutions that enhance workflow performance and operational capability.
  • Are comfortable working with data tools such as Google Sheets, MODE, SQL, or Snowflake to inform decision-making and track progress.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels, translating complex workflows or data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Bring curiosity and persistence to uncover issues, ask the right questions, and maintain project clarity from start to finish.
  • Thrive in dynamic, evolving environments where experimentation and continuous improvement drive success.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and recognition across collaborative workstreams.
