Senior Associate, Monitoring
About the Team
Our Ads & Promotions Operations team operates at the intersection of e-commerce, marketing, and advertising. We ensure our promotional and advertising campaigns deliver high-quality experiences for consumers and merchants while driving performance for advertisers. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot campaigns across surfaces and platforms.
About the Role
This role’s working hours can be either Thurs-Mon or Wed-Sun. As a Monitoring Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution, tracking, and performance optimization of SMB and Enterprise promotional and advertising campaigns. You’ll manage daily monitoring workflows, investigate performance anomalies, support campaign setup, and deliver insights that improve campaign health and efficiency across in-app banners, promotions, CRM channels, and other advertising surfaces.
In this role, you will…
- Monitor SMB and Enterprise campaigns daily to identify performance anomalies and troubleshoot issues across ad and promotion platforms.
- Analyze campaign metrics using SQL and internal dashboards to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and recommend performance improvements.
- Create post-mortem documentation with both internal-facing and external-facing metrics to report and action on. Define post-mortem actions to take and manage outcomes.
- Partner cross-functionally to optimize targeting strategies and other levers that improve campaign outcomes.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering on tooling enhancements, alerting systems, and product improvements informed by operational insights.
- Become a subject-matter expert in internal systems, tools, and product capabilities across multiple products, surfaces, and markets.
- Help develop and refine processes that drive operational efficiency and scalability across the campaign lifecycle.

- You must be available to work regular days from Thursday-Monday or Wednesday-Sunday.
- You have 3+ years of experience in ad operations, digital advertising, process/project/program management, or operations; high growth startup experience preferred.
- You have excellent written communication skills, especially in producing clear and actionable reporting, post-mortems, and performance insights.
- You are extremely organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- You have a strong ability to work autonomously to troubleshoot issues, communicate to cross-functional stakeholders, escalate as needed, and drive campaign issues to full resolution.
- You’re a self-starter who thrives in changing environments and is eager to expand your skill set.
- You have strong analytical skills and familiarity with SQL for querying and analyzing campaign data.
- You have strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and are comfortable learning new technical tools and teaching them to others

Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$78,200 - $115,000 USD
