About the Team

Inside Account Management is an organization motivated to ensure the retention, satisfaction and growth of our SMB restaurant partners. Our Merchant Success team is composed of account management and growth solution professionals located dominantly in the Phoenix, AZ and Chicago, IL areas.

About the Role

As a Team Lead on DoorDash’s Inside Post-Sale team, you are the front line of performance, behavior change, and talent development within the Inside Account Management organization, with a dedicated focus on Virtual Kitchen merchants. You lead a pod of 6-8 Success Managers supporting some of DoorDash’s most complex and high-impact businesses, owning outcomes across retention, growth, and product portfolio adoption.

Virtual Kitchens present unique operational models, merchant needs, and growth levers. In this role, you translate strategy into execution by coaching observable behaviors, driving disciplined operating rhythms, and developing Success Manager talent capable of navigating this complexity. You are accountable for team performance, forecast accuracy, and pipeline rigor, while acting as a subject-matter leader for Virtual Kitchen post-sale motions.

This role reports to a Manager, Inside Account Management. The position is hybrid, with flexibility across remote and in-office work, and includes occasional travel for trainings, offsites, and in-person collaboration.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Lead a team of Success Managers supporting Virtual Kitchen merchants, driving customer growth, retention, and long-term partnerships.
  • Drive performance by ensuring team-level KPIs, forecast accuracy, and pipeline hygiene meet or exceed expectations.
  • Coach behavior by diagnosing performance gaps and developing skills that directly impact outcomes in complex, multi-brand merchant portfolios.
  • Own execution by holding your team accountable to standards in systems usage, merchant engagement, and operating rhythms.
  • Project manage by serving as DRI for pilots, initiatives, and process improvements related to Virtual Kitchen post-sale strategy.
  • Build talent by interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing Success Managers capable of navigating Virtual Kitchen complexity.

We're excited about you because…

  • You have 4+ years of experience in a client-facing, inside sales, or success role.
  • You bring senior IC-level performance with demonstrated mentorship, coaching, or informal people leadership experience.
  • You have strong performance management and coaching skills, with a focus on behavior change, not just outcomes.
  • You are comfortable supporting complex merchant models, such as Virtual Kitchens, multi-brand, or portfolio-based accounts.
  • You have experience leading projects or initiatives and driving execution across teams.
  • You are operationally strong, with experience using CRM, forecasting, and reporting tools to manage performance.
  • You bring a bias for action, learning, and continuous improvement, and foster accountability and teamwork within your team.
