Director, SMB Sales - SevenRooms, North America
About the Team
SevenRooms, a DoorDash company, is the hospitality industry’s leading guest experience and retention platform. Our mission is to help restaurant operators use data to build direct guest relationships and more profitable businesses. As part of the DoorDash family, we are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between third-party discovery and first-party loyalty. The NAM SMB Sales team is the engine of this mission, bringing our integrated solutions to independent restaurants and groups across North America.
About the Role
As the Director of NAM SMB Sales, you will lead a powerhouse organization of 100+ professionals across our SDR and AE functions. You will own the North America Pre-Sales strategy, focused on acquiring net-new SMB restaurants, ranging from critically acclaimed single locations to multi-unit regional restaurant groups.
This is a critical leadership role at the intersection of SaaS and Marketplace dynamics. You will not only lead a high-volume sales engine but also serve as a key stakeholder in the launch and scaling of the DoorDash Reservation Marketplace—a revolutionary integration that allows consumers to book directly on DoorDash while operators manage the experience through SevenRooms.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Lead a Strategic Growth Bet: You will shepherd our NAM SMB organization through a high-scale "0-to-1" phase, refining the playbook for how our combined DoorDash/SevenRooms offering provides a superior alternative to legacy systems.
- Architect an Integrated GTM Motion: You will drive the sales strategy for the DoorDash Reservation Marketplace, educating the market on the power of combining world-class CRM tools with DoorDash’s massive consumer reach.
- Drive High-Volume Sales Excellence: You will own the performance and productivity for a 100+ person organization, using data to optimize a complex funnel that involves both SaaS contracts and marketplace adoption.
- Develop Future Leaders: You will be a leader of leaders, energized by coaching 4 Senior Managers and ensuring their teams of Managers are driving peak engagement and professional growth.
- Influence the DoorDash Ecosystem: You will work highly cross-functionally with Product, Strategy & Operations, and Marketing teams across both the SevenRooms and DoorDash brands to ensure our product feedback loop is seamless.
We’re excited about you because…
- You are a Seasoned Sales Leader: You have 10+ years of experience leading sales teams, with a proven track record of managing large-scale (50+) outbound or field organizations in the SMB SaaS space.
- You Understand Platform Dynamics: You have experience selling "ecosystems" (e.g., a combination of software and a marketplace or payment platform).
- You are a "Full-Funnel" Expert: You have successfully overseen both SDR and AE functions and know how to synchronize top-of-funnel activity with closing excellence.
- You are Data and Metrics Oriented: You live in the details of the sales funnel and use data to resolve pain points and create system-wide solutions.
- You Embody "One Team, One Fight": You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited to act as a bridge between the SevenRooms and DoorDash organizations.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in the restaurant industry or restaurant technology (POS, Marketplace, or CRM) is highly valued.
