About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Testing Associate to lead our testing operations and manage a team of testers dedicated to validating robotics solutions on public roads. In this leadership role, you will transition from executing tests to overseeing the entire testing strategy, ensuring our autonomous systems are rigorous, safe, and ready for scale. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to define success metrics, manage testing schedules, and mentor a team of associates to maintain high performance and safety standards.

- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of Testing Associates, fostering a culture of continuous professional growth and operational excellence.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive testing programs and schedules tailored to specific robotics performance requirements.
- Improve team safety and efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and implementing advanced process enhancements.
- Partner closely with Team Leads and Engineering to bridge skill gaps and ensure testing strategies align with company objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of testing activities, providing high-level guidance and feedback to optimize technical outcomes.
- Act as a lead professional safety stakeholder, ensuring all daily operations strictly adhere to robust safety cultures and inclusive practices.
We’re excited about you because…
- Proven experience as a Lead or Manager in a technical operations environment
- 5+ years of experience in autonomous and/or robotics operations management (advanced from the 3+ years required for Specialists)
- Expert proficiency in Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, Linux, and GitHub
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to develop strategies that enhance educational and operational excellence
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor team members and guide them through high-pressure situations.
Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

See below for paid time off details:
- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$85,400 - $125,500 USD
